Minato is the pinnacle of Genius? What is that, the peak that points downwards? Itachi had foreign sources as well. He never worked hard for Yata and Totsuka (mere trinkets he got his hands on), nor did he invent Kinjutsus. What is his arsenal outside Tsukuyomi? I can't recall any.
The definition that you gave only fits Tobirama, Orochimaru, Sasuke, Kakashi and Tsunade. These people invented their own arsenal with little aid from others.

sadly yes. Manga was so much better before war arc. To make main characters relevant, kishi elevated power levels way too much, i guess he got tired, thinking of ways in which villains could deal with SA without exponential power.

Orochimaru invented Immortality Jutsu, Sasuke, several Chidori techniques and unmatched Chakra Control in the entire manga and Kakashi invented quality and original Ninjutsu with more additional uses. What are Itachi's and Minato's feats again? In fact, bring me any feat of invention from Itachi. I'll wait. I mean, do you have any substantial response other than 'lol'?

This Genius shit always gets me.. Why is Sasuke so highly underrated in the Genius column?

Yup, apparently, the Control and Shape manipulation of a natural phenomenon (something no Ninja can do) and the chakra control that rivals the Sage, along with countless battle tactics and feats that put everyone else's to shame bar Itachi isn't enough to be called a rare prodigy.

yeah but in a limited way and genius still out-shined handouts before war arc. Heck the majority claims hebi sasuke was the coolest sasuke just because he relied on intellect rather than power.

So, wait, Kinjutsus are not handouts? Did Itachi invent Izanagi (this was a Jutsu invented by Uchiha well before him) and invent Totsuka and Yata to aid him in battle? Of course, they are handouts. Let's stop pretending that they are not. Minato invented Rasengen. What else did he invent? Oh wait, nothing. He hoarded on Tobirama's Jutsus. Did Itachi invent anything that sets him apart from others in any manner? Perhaps, you should read and comprehend your own statements and context as Itachi and Minato relied on handouts as well to turn the tables. Them being the pinnacle of Genius (Minato is just terrible on this front) is objectively wrong.
Looks like my post simply whooshed over your head. Every single Ninja I have highlighted has invented original Jutsus and 'several' varients to rely on. The main topic of your thread. Did they get handouts? Of course they did. But, so did Itachi and Minato. How are they the pinnacle and others aren't? Especially Tobirama?
