sadly yes. Manga was so much better before war arc. To make main characters relevant, kishi elevated power levels way too much, i guess he got tired, thinking of ways in which villains could deal with SA without exponential power.

From ruling akatsuki with borrowed eye power to leeching off powers by tear off flesh. Is genius no longer relevant? Itachi and Minato were and still is the pinnacle of Genius shinobi without handouts but they are irrelevant to those who heavily relies on it.

So, wait, Kinjutsus are not handouts? Did Itachi invent Izanagi (this was a Jutsu invented by Uchiha well before him) and invent Totsuka and Yata to aid him in battle? Of course, they are handouts. Let's stop pretending that they are not. Minato invented Rasengen. What else did he invent? Oh wait, nothing. He hoarded on Tobirama's Jutsus. Did Itachi invent anything that sets him apart from others in any manner? Perhaps, you should read and comprehend your own statements and context as Itachi and Minato relied on handouts as well to turn the tables. Them being the pinnacle of Genius (Minato is just terrible on this front) is objectively wrong.

Looks like my post simply whooshed over your head. Every single Ninja I have highlighted has invented original Jutsus and 'several' varients to rely on. The main topic of your thread. Did they get handouts? Of course they did. But, so did Itachi and Minato. How are they the pinnacle and others aren't? Especially Tobirama?
