When Eida casted omnipotence there was a flash that spread across the world. Since Boruto has a jougan that means he some of Shinju Otsutsuki abilities and can also cast omnipotence. Notice the flash when he opened his eye and Kawaki is covering his face as if its too bright. There was definitely an ability used there and it's quite possible that it's omnipotence.
