He deactivated his sharigan. I thought the EMS was suppose to be eternal light meaning he would not be able to shut the light from his eyes off and nor lose them as well. So I guess the EMS is a natural progression between siblings. Because Kakashi can't deactivate his Sharigan and the same goes with Danzo and the crow that carried Shisui's eye.
Did anyone notice Sasuke's eyes?

The enternal just refers to him being able to use all MS techs without going blind they can actvate and deactivate it whenever they want, EMS still uses chakra so they would have to shut it off to preserve it at somepoint

well madara was able to turn back to 3t sharingan so it's only normal that you can go back to ordinary eye as well.
Kakashi and Danzo couldn't deactivate theirs because they were transplanted. What they meant about EMS not being able to lose it's light was that Sasuke wouldn't go blind from MS techniques anymore. Sasuke's Sharingan was natural, not transplanted, so he can deactivate it.

He's comparing him to itachi, who deactivated his once throughout the whole series.
But sasuke doesn't have that type of chakra control to minimize the drain of keeping his sharingan on all the time

What I am saying is that it seems like it was implied that they could not deactivate their sharigans after gaining the EMS. When Madara popped out his coffin he had his Sharigan activated for some reason. Every time we have seen post EMS Madara he has his sharigan activated. Every time we seen Sasuke post EMS up until now he has always had his Sharigan activated even when it served no purpose. To me it just seem implied that they couldn't deactivate it because of the transplant.
Well Madara was seen always in the Battle Field. Sasuke is saying good bye to his brother, never to see him again. It is kindda emotional(maybe), so Sasuke deactivated his Sharingan, making your assumption(which seemed likely) invalid..
