That note was written by the translators who were rather really literal about the explain of the whole situation and the grammar. Thus it makes sense if you think about the story,Aizen had to hide the hogyoku somewhere but no place was safe. He hid it in Rukia´s body -> in Rukia. Who would suspect a shinigami? It was well thought but I still don´t like Aizen.
