I know that it can absorb the chakra taken from the opponent and then manipulate it turning it into our own chakra source and releasing dark chakra, i don't know if its a requirement but i know the use mas 2 squares 1 anove the other that resemble two diamonds, the chakra is absorbed through the square above, and then released through the lower one. Although its not known what composes it, its assumed its fire and lightning due to its dark affinity.
