DMC is my favorite franchise, but after watching that video, all I could say was "wtf?"

First off, this is the new Dante:

Now the only thing that I can think of, is that they have to be trying to "reboot" the franchise. Because that is NOT what the canon Dante looks like. Other than that, it looks like a promising game, what do you all think?

When I was 15 years old I wanted nothing more than to play devil may cry. When I started playing, I couldnt put it down. I loved all 4 of them, and the anime. You people disgust me for what your doing to the new game. I hope you all get herpes.

Although, new info is coming to me that the change in appearance happens in the games course of events. It appears that Dante HAS to change the way he looks for some reason. I guess we will have to wait and see then :|

but i think when the game is released it will be good due to the graphics and all and also it will show us Dante's story from the beginning and how did he become a devil hunter

why would they do that to dante? he looks so stupid now. i mean if you compare the original dante and the new one, you can obviously see that the original is more badass. although the game mechanics do look good.

It's a complete reboot. Me and my cousin speculate that this is taking place before he becomes fully in control of his inner devil powers and that his appearance is slowly going to change throughout the game as he becomes more and more powerful. I agree that this new dante looks like shit though.
