Oh how lucky!

(Enjin Ranbu) - Circular Wild Dance
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 25
Description: The user spins with his tantō, hitting the target several times.

Get up close near my clone, then proceed to use the tanto to hit him many times, anyway you want. Silly technique really. >_>

--

Don't think I can, I was not taught in them. But I think I can give you a brief talk about them. We'll get to those when we finish standard Kenjutsu. ^^
I close my eyes, place my left foot forward and my right foot behind me. I lift my sword above my head and at an angle so that my two hands, whilst holding the sword, is next to the side of my face. I then run towards your clone and as I near his location and within distance, I make one slash towards the ground so that the dirt that is picked up goes towards the direction of your face. Using the momentum of the slash and whilst channeling chakra into the blade, I spin around in the air a bit and repeatedly slash your clone. Like a tornado, the pressure from the barrage of slashes pushes your clone back eventually and causes it to disperse. I then land gracefully and place the tanto back into its hilt behind my back. I then look at you to tell you something.

"My apologies on its simplicity, sensei. It isn't such a silly technique but rather straightforward. This is a nice one to know since I like carrying this tanto with me."

I smile and await a response.

Would it require you more to place an explosive tag on an opponent as you spin/slash? I was thinking that with a good perception or skill one could pull that off. That or I could try applying the tag after I finish the slashes. Oh and can you use 2 tantos with this or does it have to be just one?
"You missed a few things, like what are the pros and cons, what other things can you tell me about it? And what is your personal opinion about the technique?"

--

Being so close you would be in the cross fire of your on idea, you'd get hurt along side your opponent, but if you are willing to do that, it can work yes. Yeah, you could probably use two tanto's that would be a nice combo.
Again, my apologies for not completing the response.

Alone, the technique is pretty straightforward in that it is just you spinning with your tantō, slashing the enemy. I am not sure but if you are quick witted you can duck long enough to let the technique pass and do a kick to trip the opponent or jump back far enough to avoid it. It is an okay technique but the problem with it is that while you are spinning you sort of lose focus on what is going around you since you are spinning which could leave an opening for the enemy. I assume that the blade is out and forward so if you threw a tool as he is spinning he wouldn't be able to dodge it fast enough or efficiently as opposed if he had slashed you head on. I keep thinking of this technique like a top. You leap in the air and slash while you are spinning in the air at an angle.

As for my opinion on it, for the first tanto technique to learn it is quite bland. It's not exactly great but it ain't that bad. I would use it. Hrmmm...I could use this in a combo with the Fury Swallow Technique you showed me earlier.I could do the punches, slash, then quickly pull out my tanto and with both swords I would do the spinning motion and do like a double slash. Not bad.

Yeah, good. Pretty much what it's good for you nailed it on the head.

Moving on:

(Rakkasui) - Falling Water
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 25
Description: The user will drop down upon the opponent from mid air pointing their sword downwards and drilling it down into the opponent.

Somehow get yourself up into the air, around the mid-air side, above your target then with your sword pointing downwards above them, drill the sword down into them. Handy if you are already up in the air.

In a puff of smoke, Yamato appears and hands a scroll to Yoshimune. After reading it he departs quickly without saying a word. Yamato approaches the sensei and speaks formally.

"Unfortunately Yoshimune has some business to take care of. In the meantime I shall be taking over his training and anything he learns I shall share with him, if that is okay with you.

Ahem. Without further adieu, I shall perform the next technique for you. And yes I have been spying you this whole time."

Yamato stares at Castiel with huge terrifying eyes.

@__@

One/three advantages:
  • 1. Good simple technique to combine with elemental chakra for varied effects
  • 2. Low Rank = Less Chakra if you know how to use it effectively
One/three disadvantages:
  • 1. Simple and straightforward allowing one to counter (if not distracted)
  • 2. By itself it won't do much damage
How you would use it in battle: Well obviously using it straightforward isn't going to cut it since the enemy will just try to counter it as he looks above. I was thinking if you used it, then as he pushes himself back like in my counter, if you were using a tanto instead of the sword, you could then switch to the swirling technique (Circular Wild Dance) while in midair. Similar to a shuriken spinning especially if you can use that to pick up dirt to throw at your opponent.

How you would counter it: Don't know if it is allowed but if you throw yourself a bit back with your legs open a bit wide so he doesn't accidentally stab your leg or crotch, you can spit an elemental blast that doesn't require handseals. That or you could use ninja tools. It's pretty straight forward to counter since the opponent is coming straight down and probably holding his sword with both hands. He probably can't simultaneously do the technique and spit an elemental technique so you have many opportunities there is you are quick enough and pay attention to details.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): As Yamato makes a snake handsign, he channels his chakra and by mixing his earth and water-natured chakra simultaneously, he releases it into the ground and grows a wooden dummy with a tengu nose to appear out of the ground, mid-range from his location. Yamato speaks in a jokingly manner to his sensei.

"Okay then...now I have something to work with. I assume you don't want to get hurt so this will work just fine, sensei."

Yamato takes out his tanto and gets into a ready stance and looks keenly at the wooden dummy as it prepares itself as well. Yamato then runs towards the dummy and as he approaches it, he extends his leg at an angle and trips the dummy causing it to fall forward. As he spins around, he uses the momentum to swirl upwards and with his tanto held tightly between his two hands and by channeling some chakra to his blade, he jumps on top of the dummy and impales it from above like a drill. The dummy then should disperse or stay impaled while laying on the ground. Yamato then pulls his sword from the dummy and places it back in his sheath. He looks over to Castiel.

"Well?"

You went with the template? o_O

That was good. Moving onto those lovely B-ranks now!

(Bakuchi Tori Kuzu Oujou) – Gambling Bird Arrowroot Death
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user bolts in front of the enemy who they then strike with their sword handle before delivering several kicks that sends the enemy into the air. The user then bolts across to the far off location of the enemy who they then punch violently into an obstacle.

Okay with this one, I want you to run up or bolt as it says towards my clone, using your sword handle I want you to hit the clone once, then proceed to kick him, many times and with the finally kick send him up into the air, now as the clone is falling, I want you to punch him so it sends him flying into the tree behind yes, this technique is good since it's one technique with some many attacks, only bad thing is that is your target manages to block/counter lets say the kicks, the whole technique would else flop.

One/three advantages:
1. Several techniques in one.
2. If quickly executed, it would be hard for your opponent to counter.
3. You can be creative, depending on your terrain, as to what obstacle your target hits.

One/three disadvantages:
1. The rest won't work if your target defends the first one.
2. Considering that there is so much different attacks in this technique, the damage is pretty uneven that you would probably have to get most of it to deal some damage.
3. Requires chakra usage.

How you would use it in battle: Kind of hard to think of one since this has so much moves with it... I would start with this technique and punching them into a tree maybe. After doing so, I would continue by manipulating the earth/ground that they stand on and turning it into mud, like Swamp of the Underworld. I can also use Dropping Lid so there is no escape from the top, bottom, or sides.

How you would counter it: Seems like it's pretty easy to counter. If you defend against one part of the technique, the whole thing is basically a fail. I would try defending against the first part with the hilt of the sword. I could create a wall made of earth to separate us and/or when they hit the sword, I can cast a genjutsu to paralyze them where they stand so I can attack at super short range.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): I run up to your clone quickly and take the sword out of my side. I reverse it so that the sword handle is pointing out. When I reach your clone I strike it in the stomach with the handle. I then kick him several times with great force, making him fly up and farther away. I run towards him and channel chakra in my feet to run faster. Whole he is in mid air I punch him in the stomach which pushes him in a tree.

(Rensei Shinkuken) – Drilling Crimson Blade
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user takes out their blade and channels chakra into it. They then run towards the opponent, slashing them upwards into the air and then appear above him/her, and deliver a sharp, drilling slash down upon them, impelling them into the ground.

Okay so with this one, you'll need to channel some chakra into your blade from there, run towards my clone, then by using your sword slash your sword upwards on the body of my clone, this should push him into the air, then you'll want to appear above him, by using your sword once more hit him with a drilling slash that sends him into the ground, with of course the sword also impelled into him.

One/three advantages:
1. It would kill the target.
2. It would be hard for my opponent to counter it in the middle of the technique if executed quickly.

One/three disadvantages:
1. Chakra consumption
2. You have to run to them, by then they can be using another technique to counter it.
3. Requires a sword to perform.

How you would use it in battle: I would use it in short range and try getting my opponent distracted. I would use a smoke bomb, summon a clone, then have the clone start running to them and perform the first half of the technique then have myself come from the air (from the smoke hopefully) to deliver the last blow. Because of the clone I could then continue with a combo to make it even deadlier.

How you would counter it: Not letting them get near me would be a good choice. I could use the water replacement technique or a smoke bomb to compromise their field of vision. Then proceed with several tactics that take advantage of the smoke.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): I run up to your clone with my sword ready in my left hand and channel chakra into it. I take my swords and position it to my lower right body as I ran. When I reach your clone, I slash him from his lower right to his upper left, making his body fly upwards. When he is pushed up, I appear behind him and drill down my sword on his stomach, making him disappear.

(Suraisu Shinku no Nami) - Slicing Crimson Wave
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user does a simple cresent-shaped slash at the opponent, expelling a red chakra wave.

This one is one of the more used techniques, since it is straight forward and well easy to pull off, what I want you to do is, gather your chakra in your blade and from there, I want you slash downwards to release a crescent shaped slash, at my clone. This technique releases a red wave of chakra, it's handy for targets that are at mid-range of you, and just an overall good technique.

This technique releases a red wave of chakra, it's handy for targets that are at mid-range of you, and just an overall good technique.
One/three advantages:
  • 1. Can go up to mid range, which I think is one of the few to be able to do that.
  • 2. Despite having to use chakra, handseals is not needed.
  • 3. The red chakra wave has the potential to do lots of damage, similar to a wind technique.
One/three disadvantages:
  • 1. It doesn't follow your opponent so it can be evaded.
  • 2. You can't perform any combo with it, since you would stay farther away from your opponent to follow up with another move.
How you would use it in battle: I would use it with the Kirigakure no Jutsu, some kunais, and this technique. I would create a clone and have him stand away from me. The real me would perform the Kirigakure no Jutsu while running around so my opponent won't anticipate where I am. My clone would follow up with a few kunais and flash bombs. When I'm at my new area I would perform this technique behind their back

How you would counter it: I would counter it by evading it since its not a large scale technique and it doesn't follow you. I could use Hurricane Fist to punch myself out of range or above the blade as it passes by. I can also lower the ground or raise it up so that the blade won't hit me, but I prefer raising it because its more dangerous if you lower it.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): I gather my chakra in my body and channel it towards the blade of my sword. As I see your clone mid range from me, I take my sword and from the top to bottom, swipe it down forcefully and quickly. As I swipe down I release the chakra quickly and shape it into a red, crescent wave once it is released. It hits your clone and he disperses.

That's a shame. You won't be able to use this technique:

(Kusanagi no Tsurugi: Chidorigatana) - Grass Cutter Sword: One Thousand Birds Katana
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user flows Chidori current through a katana in manner similar to flying swallow technique. The Radiating and chirping blade can easily cut through steel. Furthermore, the body of the person cut by the sword goes numb, taking away their freedom of movement.

--

We'll move onto this one:

(Chakura Bōsekiken) - Chakra Spinning Blade
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will channel chakra into their sword making it glow blue and then jumping into the air they spin at a rapid rate creating a spinning circle and cutting through the enemy target.

Okay with this last technique that I can teach you, I want you to gather your chakra into your blade which will made the blade glow blue, from there I want you then to jump into the air and make yourself spin very fast, allowing you to cut threw your target, this technique looks useful, but I guess the fact you have to jump in the air to use it is, a bit of a downside.

-.- Aww man. Sounded like a cool one to use. Oh well...anyways back to the task.

One/three advantages:
  • 1. Requires no handseals.
  • 2. The rapid speed part can make it hard for your opponent to catch you.
  • 3. The blue glow will make you look pretty flashy
One/three disadvantages:
  • 1. You need to jump in the air where you are vulnerable.
  • 2. You are spinning so there is a point in time where you will not have eyes on your target.
How you would use it in battle: In battle I would jump over small obstacles that part me and my opponent away from each other. They would be surprised with the jump and won't anticipate it and especially with the fast speeds of spinning, it would be hard for them to defend against.

How you would counter it: By putting an obstacle in the ground, I can make them trip over while they are spinning. I can also lower the ground that they are on so even if they spin they will only hit a wall.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): I channel the chakra in my body and focus it in my sword. I jump in the air, real high up, and begin spinning around with my sword outwards. My sword glows blue from my chakra and as I land, I speed up the spinning motion. I travel fast while spinning and hit your clone, making him disappear on contact.

Last technique!

(Kenjutsu: Hirashin) - Sword Technique: Lightning Rod
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user by use of a sword can use it as a rod to attract lightning currents that are channeled into the user from opponents attacks and by pointing the tip of the blade into the ground the user is then able to dispel the lightning charge nullifing the effects of paralysis. However this only works on free flowing lightning based techniques such as the Chidori current and not on focused lightning based techniques

Okay I will send a simple lighting technique towards you, what I want you to do is to point the tip of your blade into the ground, as the lighting technique comes close towards you, your sword should dispel the lighting chakra and keep you out of danger, but this technique only works on free flowing lighting techniques.

Whoop! :D

One/three advantages:
1. Requires no handseals.
2. The absorbing of electrical currents allows you to escape the paralysis effect from some lightning jutsus

One/three disadvantages:
1. Can't protect you from focused lightning techniques
2. The act itself can distract you while you are using it.

How you would use it in battle: This technique is pretty straightforward in how it should be used in battle especially since it is specific in what it should be used against. No more is needed to be said other than to tactfully use it and use as much detail as you can to avoid confusion.

How you would counter it: Don't use a electrical current technique or use his technique as a distraction for another technique.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): Castiel-sensei releases a lightning current technique straight towards Yamato's. With no hesitation, Yamato quickly points his sword into the ground in front of him. As the electrical current passes through him, his sword attracts it and absorbs it. Yamato then quickly stabs his sword into the ground to dispel the electrical current and nullifying any effects of paralysis. Yamato then smiles and waits for his next move.

Pretty much by flowing your chidori through your blade, it will increase it's cutting ability, as well as if you stab a living object with it, it will cause a numbing effect similar to the chidori itself, though obviously less deadly.

How does it differ from this one:

(Chō Biburāto Raitontō) - Super Vibrating Lightning Release Sword
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A (+15 to kenjutsu and standard attacks)
Description: The user channels their lightning chakra into a blade, increasing its vibrating frequency and giving it more cutting power than standard wind techniques.
Or is it basically the same thing? o-o

*Also why is chidorigatana listed as "supplementary" when it still does damage?
