Appearance: Deva Pein was a body of Yahiko.His body is possessed with Nagato's Rinnegan.He has six piercings, a metal bar through each ear, three studs through the side of its upper nose, and one spike stud on each end of the bottom lip. It also had three piercings on each wrist, at least one on its upper wrist and some just under his neck. He also wore a beaded necklace, which is quite similar to the one worn by the Sage of the Six Paths.
Personality: Calm, serious, aloof, and detached man. Apparently believing traumas he experienced in his youth had enlightened him to the true meaning of pain and suffering, he considered himself a God, and believed he had evolved beyond a mere human being.He was willing to kill Jiraiya to ensure the completion of his plans. He even proclaim himself a God of Peace.Finally, he felt that no-one could understand true peace unless they understood true pain, something his childhood friend Yahiko believed.He was respected.Because Konoha was responsible for the tragedies in his life, he held some form of animosity for the village. Although Jiraiya's influence improved his opinion of the village during their time together, he eventually came to believe that Konoha profited from the tragedies of others and hated it and his former teacher.

Makes enemy unable to atk.
Technique envelopes the area in darkness with a genjutsu/ninjutsu. To the victim, the area becomes too dark to see properly, as if it were night. Added with the sound of the rain around, this effectively takes away three senses (sight, sound, smell). The victim cannot see well, cannot hear well, and the rain washes away odors, making smell useless for finding the enemy. Lasts for 15 minutes.

A technique utilizing an advanced for of Raiton. After drawing out the bio-electricity focused in his hands, Pein can form swords of this electricity in front of his palm. The borutou, unlike the boruken, can be grasped by Pein, and he will remain unaffected by the bio-electricity. The borutou do cause actual damage to a living opponent, and are strong enough to cut through steel. They have the side effect of causing one to become temporarily paralyzed. The paralysis lasts for five seconds.

By using this technique as a defensive measure, all attacks directed to the user will be deflected, no matter the size, power or mass. The only downside to this technique is that there is a short period when it is unusable after being used, though only for roughly five seconds.

Chibaku Tensei is a special technique developed by the Sage of the Six Paths, who used it to create the moon and trap the Ten-Tailed Beast's body inside of it.The user creates a dark black sphere of gravity that, when thrown into the sky, attracts objects from all directions and pulls them into the sphere, compressing them together. The surrounding earth, including forests and mountains, are collected into a single point, piling on top of one another until it creates a large sphere. A large crater is left where the earth has been collected from.

Nagato's incredible power stemmed mainly from his Kekkei Genkai, the legendary Rinnegan. This was originally possessed by the Sage of the Six Paths, the world's first ninja, and the founder of modern ninjutsu. The Rinnegan's abilities are largely unknown, but it did permit the user to use all types of elemental chakra.Rinnegan allows Pein to use any technique he wishes.
History:
Deva Pein uses Yahiko's body.At battle with Hanzou The Salamander Yahiko sacrificed himself to save Nagato and Konan.With Yahiko's dying breath, he told Nagato to survive, because he believed in Jiraiya's words that Nagato would become the world's savior.Yahiko's body would later be incorporated into the Six Paths of Pain as the Deva Path.Deva Pein the first of the Six Paths of Pain to be shown, was the body of Yahiko. It was the most often seen and used of the six paths, and acted as Nagato's representative during Akatsuki meetings. Its main abilities revolved around manipulating gravity, allowing it to repel or attract objects.
