Trunks listens intently as Dean speaks. Word has it that Dean was a man of action, so if I had done or said something completely wrong, he would let me know. At the same time, if I did something well, he wouldn't let it show. Much like Father. I guess I did well then.
Trunks then watches as his Sensei creates a clone that proceeds to charge at him like before. Trunks then begins to channel his suiton chakra, and uses nature manipulation to turn it into a mist that flows from his mouth, covering the entire training ground. This thick mist is enough that even Trunks cannot see through it very well. Using his sensing abilities, Trunks pinpoints the exact position of the clone, who must be thoroughly confused at this point. Finding him with relative ease, Trunks then proceeds to channel his suiton chakra once more while sprinting to short range of the clone. Once he reaches him, Trunks uses the previous technique to release a blast of water into the clones face.
Once he completes his counter, Trunks releases the mist technique, allowing the mist to disperse and disappear. Once it does, Trunks begins to walk toward his Sensei.
I like this technique. It helps me completely leave my opponent's sight, so they wouldn't know what to expect until I counter. I also like how the thickness of the mist can be adjusted to fit the situation that I am in. However, I did notice some.. problems that I could face while using this technique. It blocks my sight too, so unless I had some assurance that my opponent would be in the area I want them, I would have no way of knowing if my attacks are effecting them or not. Next, if my opponent is a sensor type ninja, like myself, they would be able to find me the same way that I found your clone.
The obvious way to use this technique would be to use it's cover to launch a surprise attack, and that's why I would try to avoid doing that. I mean, it has to be expected, so they would be on guard for it to happen. Knowing this, I would use their lack of sight to confuse them even more. Under the veil of the mist, I would create clones of some sort, and have us all run different directions. This way, my opponent doesn't know which one is me, and which one is a distraction.
