[Raiton] Detective L and Orochimaru investigates the power of Lightning.

[Lord Orochimaru]

Itachi forms Ram → Boar → Dog → Bird → Hare hand seals and then kneels down on the ground and then releases Lightning chakra into the ground. Then he manipulates the chakra and with the help of electrical charge forcefully creates 4 pillars of earth rise around the clone of Dean enclosing him. Then bolts of lightning attack from within the walls thus killing the clone.

Advantages: Long Range. Very strong attack as from all directions. Can hold opponent by surprise and even kill or paralyze them.

Disadvantages: Too many handseals. The top of the opponent is open, so they may fly away.

Usage: I would use it at the start of my battle and then also use fire techniques inside the enclosure to increase damage.

Description: After the user performs the Ram → Boar → Dog → Bird → Hare hand seals, he releases his lightning chakra into the ground, using it to forcefully shape the earth into 4 big pillars (proportionate to the target area) around the target. Once they rise, they unleash a barrage of lightning bolts, currents and shocks to whatever is inside, paralyzing, shocking and damaging the target from all around.

"Next, we got a technique where you will form the Rabbit → Dog → Boar → Ram → Rat hand seals, and manipulate your Lightning based chakra. This allows you to generate a large amount of Lightning from your hands which can be released towards the opponent, either in an unfocused manner, or be passed through a conductive material to increase damage. In this case, the conductive material would be Water, so after using a Water technique, you can use this, to charge the Water and electrify it. This makes it difficult for the opponent to counter with Earth, because the Water now carries an electrical charge. Anyway, use it against my clone."

Itachi performs the Rabbit → Dog → Boar → Ram → Rat hand seals, and then manipulates the lightning chakra to create a large amount of lightning in his hands and then releases it towards the clone of Dean in an unfocused manner thus shocking him and turnng it into smoke.

Advantages: Can be used with water and thus increasing its own power and supporting the water stream. Creates a large amount of Lightning that can shock the opponent.

Disadvantages: Requires the ability to mold both water and lightning chakra at the same time to use it in conjunction with. So, normally one must have a shadow clone or an ally in the area.

Usage: Offensive .

Description: After doing the Rabbit → Dog → Boar → Ram → Rat hand seals, the user generates a large amount of lightning from their hands, which can then be either released in an unfocused manner or passed through conductive materials to improve the electrical power of the technique, namely in conjunction with Water Techniques. In fact, certain users have showed that its possible to, if the user has the ability to mold both Water and Lightning chakras at the same time (for example, Darui who has Storm Release), unleash this particular technique at the same time as they exhale/spit some water technique (which needs to consist of a stream of water), combining both in a seemingly consecutive move. Other ninjas will need to use a clone or an ally for the same effect.

"After that, we got a technique where you will manipulate your Lightning chakra, The Lightning will start to crackle around your hands, and you will slam your hands onto the ground. This causes an electrical current to race through the earth, towards the opponent. This current can be split into multiple tendrils, to attack the opponent. You have to keep your hands on the ground the entire technique, through, by the way. Use it against my clone."

[Lord Orochimaru]

Itachi molds lightning chakra and then transports it into his right hand. Then he manipulates the chakra to form a lightning current crackling in his right hand. Itachi then slams his hand on the ground which creates running electric current towards the clone. The current divides into many tendrils thus increasing its attack area and then hits the clone tuning it into smoke.

Advantages: Fast becoz of no handseals and has a large area of attack. Cannot be dodged and I can manipulate its course myself.

Disadvantages: I will have to keep my hands in the ground, so I cannot move.

Usage: I would use it to make my opponent jump up from the ground or to discourage him from standing in a same place to do something.

Description: The user brings their hands together and an electrical energy will begin to crackle around them. They will then slam their hands to the ground to send an electric current racing through the earth. When the current approaches its target, it can split into multiple tendrils to attack separate targets individually.

"Next, we got a technique where you will manipulate your Lightning chakra. You will then raise your hand, and release, from your body, a bolt of Lightning aimed to hit the opponent before you. Use it against my clone."

[Lord Orochimaru]

Itachi molds lightning chakra while raising up his hands, then he manipulates the chakra to form a lightning bolt that rushes towards the running clone and then hits it thus smoking it up.

Advantages: No handseals, Very Fast, I can aim and shoot a bullet accurately,

Disadvantages: No big deal jutsu.

Usage: Distraction, Offense and against Earth defenses or electrifying water bodies.

"Next one, use your Lightning based chakra to form a whip made of Lightning. This whip forms between your hands, and can be used like a real whip. Its a nice technique for striking earthen structures, and can be used to shock people as well. Use it against my clone."

[Lord Orochimaru]

Itachi molds lightning chakra and manipulates it in the form of a whip made of lightning which forms between his hands like a real whip. And as soon as the clone runs towards Itachi he hits the clone with the whip and thus smokes him up.

Advantages: No handseals, very fast, excellent weapon and high flexibility.

Disadvantages: Probably short range, Hands will be occupied.

Usage: Offensive. I will use it when I will have to deal with earthen projectiles.

Description: The user generates lightning-based chakra between his/her palms forming what appears to be a lightning "rope". The user can then whip that lightning around as if its a true whip, hitting his target.

"Next, we got a great technique where you will manipulate your Lightning based chakra and focus it to your dominant hand. This allows you to create a hound, shaped out of Lightning. This hound can make its way towards the opponent, but stays connected to the dominant hand, making it a streaming technique. Not very useful if the opponent can easily counter, but can be used in certain situations. Use it against my clone."

[Lord Orochimaru]

Itachi molds lightning chakra and then channels it in his right hand. He then manipulates the chakra to create a hound of lightning that bites the incoming clone and turns it into smoke. Then the hound disappears and Itachi smiles.

Advantages: Got a pet, no handseals, quite fast, great defence and attack both, it will save me from any incoming person.

Disadvantages: Has to be attached to the hand.

Usage: Defensive.

This Lightning is fairly condensed, and can be grabbed by you, and even allow you to split it apart and launch it towards the opponent. Just remember that the rank halves, every time another spear is made, so less spears, more power and more spears, less power, individually. Use it against my clone."

Itachi molds Raiton chakra and manipulates it to shape it into a clone of himself....He then stands back (and enjoys the show) and let's his lightning clone run towards the incoming clone. The lightning clone then manipulates the chakra in him/it to spit out a spear made of lightning which he/it then throws towards Dean's clone, the spear pierces though the clones heart and poof...*smoke*

Advantages: I got a partner in the field, my vision range gets increased. Someone to fight in the front or watch my back. I can use him for jutsus that needs two sets of hands. Can be used to absorb an imminent attack.

Disadvantages: Can only use upto B rank jutsus.

Usage: Supplementary, defensive. Will be used as a decoy too. A clone is always usefull =D

Description: User creates a Shadow Clone of himself but made from lighting chakra. When the clone gets hit he will return to its previous state of pure lighting chakra. The clone has a physical substance and therefor is able to use ninjutsu and taijutsu techniques as well as he has all the normal moves the user has.
Note: Can only use lightning based techniques up to B rank.

"Now, the next technique is one of a supplementary nature. You will focus your Lightning based chakra into a blade, increasing its vibrating frequencies and cutting capabilities. Fairly useful in conjunction with Kenjutsu. Use it against my clone.

Itachi takes out his sword. He then channels Raiton chakra in it and manipulates it to create a lightning coating over the blade. This increases the cutting and piercing power of the sword. And as Dean's clone runs toward Itachi, he runs forward with his sword in his right hand and delivers a slash from left to right and the clone *poofs* into smoke.

Advantages: Increases power of weapon. And gives an undue advantage over another sword. If the sword touches the opponent in any way the lightning will cause paralysis or numb-ify the part.

Disadvantages: None other than the fact that it doesn't do much.

Usage: Can be used against Earth staffs or earthen weapons. Or just to increase power in Kenjutsu fights.
