Okay, so I am bamboozled.

We all know how and why Rin died. A Chidori to the chest. Okay, except that one tiny bit where she shouldn't have even died. Think about it. The Bijuu was sealed inside her and we all know that Bijuu provide fast healing. While I believe Sanbi is many things, suicidal isn't one of them. We all know Bijuu don't want to die and I doubt it knew it could reappear. So from Isobu point of view, healing Rin was the best option.

Then we have Obito, who took the Chidori from exact same person in exact same place. He survived.

So is it just me, or is it extremely derpy that Obito who isn't a Jinchuuriki, survived the Chidori while Rin, who was one, didn't?

Or does Kishi just like twisting facts for plot convenience.....?

Main reason for Obito's survival was Hashirama's DNA which merely prolonged his life enough to become the Juubi Jinchuuriki and heal the wounds through that.

There is a limit to a jinchuuriki's healing ability especially of a lower bijuu like the three tails.

Obito can survive that kind of attack thanks to being mostly Zetsu (means he has Hashirama cells), but even then he would have died if he didn't hurry and become the Juubi Jinchuuriki

@ VOTE 1. Naruto's Kurama cloak helped him recover from a chidori to the lung as far as I know. Heart > Lung.

Half Kurama > 7 tailed beasts combined in firepower & combat in general. In the healing category also would make sense.

Also. Each bijuu is unique with kkg etc. Healing may be Kurama's thing since he doesn't have another specialty.

Juubi jinchuurike can hell from fatal damages.
Example: JJ Madara taking a Night Gai dragon kick to the ribs
That's how he survived.

2. Kyuubi has healing properties, the rest of the bijuus don't.
When Gaara was blown up by deidara, he didn't heal from any damages whatsoever.
Even gaara didn't heal from Sasuke's chidori, it was just replaced with more sand aka bijuu chakra.

So Rin will die, but the three tails will get revived and will run wild all over again.
