deleting Icons

I can't delete 2 icons on my Desktop. I tried everything, but it just wouldn't work. It wouldn't even delete on save mode. Can someone help me?

I hardly know what your on about, but you could try un-installing the programme.

try to un-installing the program if it doesn't work then press Alt-Ctrl-Delete then chose those programs processes and delete them then delete the icons

It isn't a program. It's a icon of my library and my homegroup

Try giving a better explanation, or not being a jerk to a guy who tried to answer your question.

Is there an error message when you try to delete them? If so, what does it say?

Also, if you're not embarrassed or something.. mind telling us what exactly you're trying to delete? Maybe it's a known issue.

Well, you said "Programme", and I don't think it fit where you put it. Yes, "Programme" is a word (As far as I know), but I'm almost positive you meant "Program".

But anyway, all you said in your original post was "I'm trying to delete 2 icons and I can't". You could also add "When I try to, a message comes up saying 'This can't be deleted because___'" or "They are icons of my Library and Homegroup.", but you left details like that out.

I can't help with a simple "I cant delete an icon".

Look here, if you can't delete it, and its not a program you add, then you are not supposed to delete it. So don't bother. Also get a proper anti-virus, like Avast.

This right here is a great tip. That's why I asked why you need to delete it. It could be important, maybe that's why you're unable to delete it?

If you absolutely have to get it out of the way, you could just move it to a different place so it's not clogging up your desktop, couldn't you?

Only thing i can think of is that you have to put those two icons else where or create a copy and move that somewhere safe. Then delete those icons.

It probably won't let you coz its an important file.

I'll admit, that desktop is pretty sexy.

I wouldn't delete those if I were you, though. You can't just drop them in a different place? Like your "Documents" or "Computer" folder or something?

Sorry, I'm not sure if maybe Avast stops you from moving them [SIZE=-2] (I don't know the slightest thing about Avast)[/SIZE] and that's why you said "And I have Avast".. if so then ignore this post.
