Water Dome has chakra inside it which pushes outwards if Kisame wants it to to stop C4. How does he sense the bugs you say? Samehada can sense chakra so it will tell Kisame. C0, Kisame can summon a giant shark to go inside like Sasuke did.

Because the last time kisame got inside a shark it worked perfectly.
Actualy, Sasuke subdued manda with genjutsu. Kisame cant use genjutsu.
