Deidara wins.
Deidara stomps
Your smoking some grade-A crack if you think kisame can take imo.
Well Deidara's particluar fighting style is deffinatly one that places Kisame at a disadvatage; however, just for the sake of argument, I'll list some countermeasures Kisame can take.
Mobility
Mobility is probalby one of the Key deciding factors in this fight...because Deidara stays the heck away...Kisame's brute strength and chakra zapping aren't able to do their job. However, Kisame has a few options to work with. First off, with 20% of his chakra (might have been 30), he could create a lake in a deseart.....in theory, a full powered Kisame could do the same thing pushing the elevation of the ground floor higher up.
Now yes Deidara, in theory should be able to fly up, but like any aerodynamic object, there is in fact a limit to how far up one goes before the wings of the creature, clay explosive bird/dragon, or plane freeze over leading to a crash landing.
In addition, Kisame does have ranged attacks, As we saw against Asuma, Kakashi, and Kurenai he has the water shark missile that was a ranged attack (though used in a mid-range scenario). His Giant Water Shark Bomb Jutsu is also capable of being used, and this one has an added bonus: it takes the chakra/ninjutsu of the enemy and throws it back at them....we never got to see exactly how it works (damn you Gai), but based on his description, the attack would absorb the Jutsu into his own attack and then, after creating a larger Super Water Shark Bomb, continue towards the target. Finally, his Thousand Feeding Sharks technique created a Waterfall almost instantly that was far higher than Deidara's height over his Sasuke battle...considering Deidara would know Kisame as a CQB pro...he would feel just as comfortable at the same height
As for the C4 Karura
Kisame posesses the Water Dome technique as well as the Thousand Shark Jutsu as a methode to counter this one.
Firstly, the Water Dome....IF he has the time (as it took Deidara forever to spit it out of his mouth, he may be able to place the Karura in the bubble...greatly slowing down the speed of the dispersing bombs....however more efficiently is if he makes himself the center of the Dome, and fuses with Samehada. In doing so, his insane water speed in the dome would allow him to simply speed away from the explosives at a FAR greater speed than needed (his Fusion speed is rediculous).
Also, we have to remember that the microbombs ARE tangible objects meaning they react to forces applied. As such, the instant Waterfall created by the Thousand Sharks technique would create a toweringly massive crashing wave of watter that would press the microbombs away from his location...giving Kisame protection from what would normaly be his demise.
I'm sure we can both agree that in close range...Kisame wrecks, and that if Deidara loses his arial mobility, Kisame has ways to restrain Deidara (water dome....probably the Hidden Mist Jutsu) so I won't bother detailing them.
So to conclude...Kisame does have an arsenal of moves that would allow him to knock Deidara off his high horse of the sky...if this happens. It is game over for Deidara. Now because we never saw them fight or interact much...its hard to say how they would truly treat one another in battle. Deidara's Mobility does give him an edge, but that doesn't mean he's going to always effortlessly crush Kisame (don't forget Kisame's regenerative prowes as well).
Its deffinatly a hard fight...that leans with an advantage to Deidara, but Kisame deffinatly has the abilities to pull out a win....it could go either way I would say...though I'd put my money on Shark Boy if they ended up as enemies.
C4 is almost uncounterable
Samehada can't absrob hot techniques... And that's assuming that Samehada will absrob every last nano bomb before Kisame takes a breath.C4 Is a large mass of chakra. Samehade absorbs it before it enters kisame's system. He'd have clay sitting in him. If it it enters, kisame absorbs chakra himself. No chakra = no good clay.
Everything deid has is countered with samehade alone - It removed 6 tails worth of chakra. Deid doesn't even have that much chakra in himself, let alone in any clay explosive...

Actually it can
All it did was complain about heat attacks

what's hot about clay infused with chakra.

It just absorbs all that chakra once it reaches close or;

absorbs it himself. Even if the clay enters him, he can still just absorb it. Not like the mass of chakra would surprise him seeing as samehade senses chakra..
Nice thread. The format reminds me of Negative Knight's threads.
Lol i just saw thread and some responses and popped in to just say how he counters C4 which really is the biggest threat. Deidara can win though, but it'd be high diff. His best and only option is to stay out of kisame's range (up high). If he fails to do that, he pretty much loses right there.
Samehada senses Chakra, yes, but it doesn't warn Kisame about it.
Kisamehada can counter C4, but it cannot counter C1, C2 nor C3.
Lol. Thanks. =D
