Deidara beat a Jin Gaara, who was stronger than Current Gaara, who had the location advantage and he was only trying to capture him, no intent to kill. Deidara wins this. Again.

Jin Gaara was slapping Deidara around, the only reason Deidara was able to land a blow was because of him attacking the village.
