Gaara didn't use Shukako's power then, and his sand control is still fit, as seen at the 5 Kage Summit arc. So Gaara > Deidara High Diff, and possibly both will die.

Gaara can tank anything except Clay bombs INSIDE his sand. Though since he knows about that, he'll probably avoid making such a mistake again.
