Deidara still beats Gaara?

From what we've seen, I think Gaara still loses to Deidara. In their first fight Gaara was forced to protect the sand village and that ultimately led to his capture. Now Deidara was also holding back as well. He was handicaped in trying not to kill Gaara despite having the techs to do so. He also was low on clay. Gaara has no counter for his c4 bombs that can only be seen by the sharigan. Furthormore I think Gaara has been nerfed when he lost shikaku and is no longer able to use it's hand which helped Gaara. So Deidara still beats Gaara yes?

Shouldn't Deideras nano bombs win of pretty much 'everyone' except the ones who can actually see the chackra in those bombs?

he didnt have it....day by day ninjas improve on their techs...deidara has only improved now...same as gaara...

I believe you made that up. You have no proof Deidara didn't have it the time he fought Gaara. Gaara can still improve but Deidara is dead..

Agreed, unless his third eye can see c4, and even then, nano boms are smaller than sand particles, so gaara's defence wont still help matters

Yeah but Deidara was also holding back and came to the fight unprepared. If Deidara used the techs he was using against Sasuke Gaara would be dead and that's not what Deidara wanted.

I guess deiara didnt want the same thing that happened to him when he fought gaara happen again...i dnt have any solid proof though

This one gets argued about back n forth all the time and people either say 100% Gaara or 100% Deidara.

Anyway, I personally feel that both are very strong and have their chances of winning. Gaara is the more likely of the two to win though and something people also forget about him, is that he was always trying to suppress Shukaku's power and refused to rely on it. Gaara has been deemed the Golden Duckling of the current Kage and has shown he is either the best of them, or perhaps one of the top two, between him and Onoki.

You can't use someone's trump card like C4 to just say that someone will deff win cause Gaara or whoever can't block it. We have seen many people use different methods to escape from powerful techniques which should spell certain death and come out winning. Gaara has managed to block things which people may have argued are beyond his league.

My opinion is that Gaara would win in this fight if it was a straight up fight. Also, Deidara had information on Gaara which put him at an advantage. If things were equal, Gaara should win the fight. Think about it, Kankuro managed to beat Deidara with some help and Gaara is far superior.
