That barrier is for incoming attacks where he sets it and the object/attack enters the barrier. C4 doesnt work that way at all. If deidora does get the chance to use c4, that could be the end of minato

Minato isn't a sensor good enough to realize what happened once it exploded, Thus he won't resort to s/t barrier...
Just like sasuke thought it was a dud, No matter who you are unless you have a doujutsu or you''re a sensor on shees level, You will think it's a dud..

But Sasuke thought to escape cuz he thought it was too huge that the explosion scale would have been too great and he didn't have a jutsu powerful enough to protect him. Minato on the other hand has jutsus that could help him to avoid or protect himself against this.

Nagato is jirayas student, and Jiraya said nagato mastered every jutsu he thought him easily.. Do you see people going around saying nagato has all jiraya's jutsu?
The other thing is Minato won't randomly activate that jutsu...Not when to him he has nothing to sense... You are basing your arguments on things that won't happen what so ever if they fight..

he'll either start running like sasuke, or ftg to konoha.. once he thinks the bomb is finished exploding he'll come back to continue the fight..

None of deidara's abilities would have cause for minato or jiraya to use that barrier... He doesn't go invisible etc..
