Deidara joined the Akatsuki when he was 10-14 years old

Now, we know Orochimaru left Akatsuki 7 years previously

and we know Deidara was Orochimaru's replacement as a partner for Sasori. So let's say it took three years for Sasori to find a new partner (which is being generous, since it probably didn't take him that long.) And let's say Deidara was 17 (not 16) in Part 1. That means he joined the Akatsuki when he was 13. And assuming Sasori found a replacement for Orochimaru right afterwards, that means the youngest Deidara could have been when he joined the Akatsuki was 10 years old.

Why would you think that? It most likely took him the full 7 years to find Dedeira, why are you assuming it only took 3?

Fun fact: Kishi originally intended Akatsuki to be a group of monsters (except for itachi). So he probably incorporated some monster-like characteristics into the figures displayed in that scan.

That's just a prototype. There's only a few Akatsuki that look the same as now. That guy says "yeah", but that could just be a model or design for the real Deidara. The point is, you can't use that image as any sort of cannon. It doesn't make sense
