Despite his advanced age, his hair was solid red. It should be noted that his hair and beard style were exactly the same as that of the Four-Tails inside him.

Background Info.
History:
Roshi was born in Iwagakure. On contrary of naruto's childhood, everybody liked Roshi. People hoped he turned on a great ninja, to defend the Village with the help of his bijuu. He was very strong for his age, achieving jounin rank at a young age and liked to teach the younger kids new jutsus. He was one of the most important people of the Village, he helped everybody. He didnt like doing missions and killing people, only if he really needed to like in case he had to protect someone so he didnt go on missions often. He prefered being a Mentor and help people be a better ninja. He was well known by his great talent and skill in earth and fire jutsus, having complete mastery over them. At a certain time, he decided that he needed to became better in case the village had to be protected so he left the village to master the power of the Four-Tailed-Monkey.

The Yonbi no Saru is a four-tailed Giant Monkey, with a fierce, aggressive and territorial outlook.
Naturally Granted Powers: Roushi gains the ability to use the Lava element.
Incomplete Form: When the incomplete form is activated, Roushi is covered in a bright crimson chakra shroud with four tails waving behind him.
The chakra shroud burns an opponent who touches it, much like fire. It is hotter than the Nibi's chakra shroud.
He gains a +10 attack boost to the Lava element, and a +5 attack boost to the Earth and Fire elements.
Complete Form: Roushi screams, and red chakra bursts out of him and covers him entirely in the replica of the Yonbi.
The ground for about two metres around the Yonbi turns into lava. Coming near the Yonbi is hard for any ninja since the temperatures are well over 60 degrees Celsius.
Once a battle, the Yonbi can let out a loud screech, releasing a shockwave of chakra in one straight line that flattens anyone in front of it.
It can use only Lava, Earth or Fire Elements, but learns a +25 attack boost to the Lava element and + 15 attack boost to the Fire and Earth element.
