according to Mayan scriptures the end of the long count calendar doesn't mean the end of the world but it's to be celebrated and to welcome the beginning of a new cycle, so no, i dont think anything is going to happen on that day, it's pretty much the Mayan new year, 2 new years in one year

if they predicted the end of the world, don't you think they would have predicted the Spanish inquisition and avoided the massacre

Guys i'm really scared! you know the rumours about the mayan calender supposedly pointing to 21st dec 2012 being the day the world ends what if it's true? saying that though there's also rumours that the rest of the mayan calender has been discovered and it goes beyond 21st dec 2012 which if it's true could possibly mean that the end of the world won't happen this year but! what if the discovery of the rest of the calender is a lie and the end is this year what are we gonna do i mean yeah if it happens we can't do shit to stop it but the thought that right now there's 29 days till that frightening day of doom scare's the shit out of me cause i'm not a suicidle person but if the world is gonna end this year i don't think i wanna be here when it does that's how scared i am and to be honest before all these rumours started i didn't scare easily and guess what right now cause i've been watching the news lately i found something scary right now well i don't know what the time is where you guys are but where i live it's 05:00am and right now on the fox news channel there's a program called countdown to doomsday which talks about the mayan theories and i'm watching it right now and i'm panicking loads but all i'm saying right now is i hope it's not true!.
