it just means the end of mayan calendar and begenning of new year,its just like your calendar get over on december 31st and you get new calendar for another......

Guys i'm really scared! you know the rumours about the mayan calender supposedly pointing to 21st dec 2012 being the day the world ends what if it's true? saying that though there's also rumours that the rest of the mayan calender has been discovered and it goes beyond 21st dec 2012 which if it's true could possibly mean that the end of the world won't happen this year but! what if the discovery of the rest of the calender is a lie and the end is this year what are we gonna do i mean yeah if it happens we can't do shit to stop it but the thought that right now there's 29 days till that frightening day of doom scare's the shit out of me cause i'm not a suicidle person but if the world is gonna end this year i don't think i wanna be here when it does that's how scared i am and to be honest before all these rumours started i didn't scare easily and guess what right now cause i've been watching the news lately i found something scary right now well i don't know what the time is where you guys are but where i live it's 05:00am and right now on the fox news channel there's a program called countdown to doomsday which talks about the mayan theories and i'm watching it right now and i'm panicking loads but all i'm saying right now is i hope it's not true!.

The Mayan calendar didn't account for leap years (which was created around 500 AD), the world should have ended 8 months ago

Also its already been disproved with evidence found by Mayan stones that show the calendar goes even farther than 2012 a lot farther LOL. There is nothing to be scared of except a stupid hoax like that Harold Camping one back in 2011 :sy:
