Good eye. I'd also like to ad that when Guy does a technique like asakujaku or hidora, he's attacking with speed and power beyond what he normally can in the gates, which demonstrated that if Madara could intercept hidora, he could without question, beat Guy in speed and strength.


Despite this, it's still incredible that Guy's capable of keeping up with Madara to the extent he's doing.

Also Madara stated truth as we saw 7th Gated Gai is unable to surprise Madara, by his foot speed. It was just complexity of Gai's Taijutsu moves which in Gai's assault at Madara forced him to move backwards due to being unable to counter it.

^^ of course . It is debetable if 8th Gated Gai could kill not serious Juubi Jin Madara but once Madara get serious Gai is finished

It doesn't matter if he blocked it or not, Gai did what two S/T users couldn't and that's put Jin Madara on the defensive and that's a huge feat.
