*looks in on the Windows party...notices the tap to the Schlitz keg is broken....speakers are blown out...house trashed....idiots running around stealing and breaking everything*

*goes next door and peeks in on the Mac party....everyone sitting by themselves texting one another...drinking lattes and smoking cloves*

*goes back to the linux party...everyone happy and content...drinking Duvel and Guiness....sociable, and helping one another make it the best party*
You are just Fanboying.
Clearly, Macs are Inferior to any OS released until this point.
You are using Linux, because it suits you more, you are Into advanced IT.
Now, tell me, what would you recommend a 13 year old Teenager, that is planning to go to Med School?
Your answer, if you find Logic, should be Windows.
Yet, if you continue not thinking with the Public`s brain for a second, you`ll still say Linux is better.
Fact is, the average Computer User is never actually planning to get into IT. He wants a something something, that can get him in Facebook and Youtube.

If you think you need a CS degree to use linux then you are a moron. Actually, you are a moron. You'd be a bigger moron than you already are.
Macs are built on open source *nix software. It's only inferior to completely open sourced OS's.
Public's brain? I didn't realize we had a collective intelligence. Is it like the Borg? Can I get in on it? Where do I sign up?

Thank you for your Words. :|
I didn't say that, I am just saying, Linux is for people with certain needs, and the Public wants a Computer, that works, nothing more, nothing less.

truthfully i dont even see the point in getting a linux ive never had one and it seems like it just gives you more work plus i grew up with windows so thats what i like, its easy to use, i can find everything pretty easily. ive used a mac and guess what it doesn't make any sense at all. if linux is so much better then everything is probably just as different so y should i bother learning a whole new system when im happy with this one?

Well if the public wants (congratulations on being appointed as the Public's spokesperson) a computer that works, why would they choose a Micro$hit product?

Because it works.
And Stop arguing, Windows isn't as bad as you think.
when i to talk/hear ppl talk about how bad windows is guess cant tell me what is actually wrong with it. which means they are just repeating what others have said. another thing that ive noticed is that some ppl mess with the programming (aka wannabe hackers... aka teenage idiots) and then complain when it doesn't work

i dont have any problems with my computer the only time i do its just because i don't know how to do something not because of the computer i think thats the same for most ppl too

Only time I used a Mac, was in the Store, was Looking for a Netbook, and they had this Huge ass Mac on a Desk, costed 3400 Euros (About 5k Dollars, give or take.)
Specs were Retarded for that Price.

I have Mac. Converted from windows laptops to Mac. Honestly, I have Linux, Mac Os X Lion and Windows 7 installed and there are enourmous differences between them.

Even if you all troll mac around the truth is that for someone that doesn't need tweaking and programming and personalizing and customizing your whole OS and only uses it to work, surf and download, its actually pretty stable and easy and clean.

Linux is the cleanest and simpler of them all but you do need an above average knowledge to take full usage of its possibilities.

I personally dislike windows. It progressively slows down. Its crashes much more than mac (mine never crashed...) and has the thing of being dependent on anti virus. It keeps updating and updating and it keeps getting slower and slower... It needs maintenance. And somethings that should be quite simple are in fact quite complicated.

However, each person chose his or her OS regarding either money or simply their preference.

The thing that I most like about my Mac Book Pro isn't actually the OS as i honestly don't think that for what i do its that different from the productivity i'd get from a windows machine. Its the build quality of an aluminum body, the screen, the battery life and the overall stability of the machine.

But hey, i'm not an expert, just a general user. And here Macs aren't that much expensive than windows machines. At least when we speak of laptops.
