Conditions: Jiraiya starts in Sage Mode with Ma and Pa on his shoulders. Gaara is War Arc.

Starting Distance: 30 meters



This is a casual debate, Apex and I will make two posts each. I will post the opener.

Starting with Ma and Pa, I fail to see how Jiraiya loses, and I'm not talking about just Frog Song which will end this easily. Any other scenario and Gaara wins this.

Keeping Gaara at bay with various ninjutsu (Jiraiya's is typically large scale, more so than any of his other Sannin counterparts) while Shima and Fuka prep it and then they launch it. Sand doesn't stop sound waves. They'll travel right through the sand and Gaara loses.

Keeping Gaara at bay with various ninjutsu (Jiraiya's is typically large scale, more so than any of his other Sannin counterparts) while Shima and Fuka prep it and then they launch it. Sand doesn't stop sound waves. They'll travel right through the sand and Gaara loses.

Jiraiya's only large scale ninjutsu is his collaboration jutsu with Gamabunta, this is possible to evade. Or just use a large quantity of sand for protection.
Gaara can fly. Jiraiya will never be able to hide, and that is needed in order to pull off frog genjutsu.

AC come on. You've heard me say it countless times that I can't stand Esdeath anymore. Braht and Kurome are my faves if that counts for anything. And Syura being the best character is your own opinion. To me I feel he's one dimensional and selfish in desire. He doesn't have any tragic background nor a reason for his actions besides a corrupt father that he's supposed to live up to, who's inevitably going to get slaughtered regardless.

I just enjoy her character. She doesn't have much depth though.

Braht isn't that bad though. Everyone acknowledges him as a good character.
