Depending on the intro determines the way you counter. You should dive straight into it and play aggressively now.
I read it and was going to but seeing how he said it should be revised, I didn't think that was his first one.

Naw, I'm going to edit the post later and add on some stuff. It's just that I came to a good stopping point and I wanted to save my work so I decided to just go ahead and post what I had. I'll VM you when I'm done.

Ok so I'll be countering your next post or I should post my thoughts as well?

Firstly, I'll commend your effort as that was a good post.

I'm not usually stylish but I'll just be giving my thoughts on this matchup.

Kisame's sensing ability

Kisame can sense when merged but that doesn't automatically give him the reflexes and reactions especially against a fast opponent like Minato. I'll give an example of what I'm talking about

You must be registered for see images

Therefore Kisame's ability to sense doesn't give him an instant and immediate reaction. Not to mention he may not able to sense quickly against a much faster opponent as we've seen with BSM Naruto and the Juubito scenario.

Sure even without merging, Samehada can still sense but we've seen this isn't really that helpful.

Minato's Chakra

We fully well know in order to use SM,

You must be registered for see images

So running out of Chakra won't be an issue here.

Introduction

Beginning Stage

Due to Minato's fighting style and lack of intel, he will undoubtfully commence the battle by throwing his FTG kunai and or marking the battlefield itself. While Minato does this, Kisame can merge with Samehada, or immediately spit out Suiton: Bakushouha. Either option only takes a few seconds, and they can both be done simultaneously > . The force of the water shockwave washes away marked kunais and changes the enviroment into Kisame's favor. Due to the AoE of the water dome, every kunai or location Minato has thrown thus far is now underwater. Yes, Minato can warp away a portion of the water dome with his Space-Time barrier, but to do so Minato must insert his own chakra into the barrier to teleport it away, since this is a technique that costs chakra. Due to Kisame's monstrous chakra reserves, he can spit out almost any volume of water he wishes to create, so Minato must pit his own chakra against Kisame's - not a good option against someone with bijuu level chakra. Eventually Minato will be unable to continue to maintain the barrier, and will stop warping the water (an alternative for Minato would be to continue warping and die of chakra exhaustion.) The dome of water will be reduced in volume, but it will still be big enough to encompass the immediate area including the FTG kunai Minato scattered around the battlefield. With the enviroment in his favor, the middle stage of the battle begins.

Middle Stage

With most of the battlefield underwater, the battle becomes a timebomb in Kisame's favor since it is only a matter of time before Minato runs out of air. FTG at this point because

  • Minato cannot mark liquid water with his FTG sealing formula
  • Minato cannot throw FTG kunai underwater, only let them slowly sink to the bottom. This severely limits Minato’s movements since he cannot swim fast like Kisame and his sharks, and cannot throw kunai to teleport to.
  • Minato's kunai which he already scattered around the battlefield are underwater, so he can teleport to them - but he wouldn't escape the water dome.

At this point, Kisame can summon any number of sharks that he wants, up to a thousand (though only a dozen or so are needed). The purpose of these sharks is to go after and swallow any FTG kunais which Minato has left scattered around the battlefield. What this does for Kisame is two things: firstly, it means that with the kunai in the sharks’ mouths, Kisame can control where Minato teleports to since he can direct the sharks where to go; and secondly, it means Minato will be greeted by a shark wherever he teleports to. Yes, Minato can deal with one shark easily but one dead shark means nothing to Kisame and it doesn't change the fact that Minato is still underwater.

Now Kisame will direct all the sharks to congregate at a single spot (some distance away from himself), so he knows where Minato is going to teleport to. Minato now is in a tricky situation since if he teleports to that spot, he will be devoured by sharks and is running low on air and chakra. Minato isn't out of options though - he can summon Gamabunta or another boss toad. Unfortunately Kisame can deal with boss summons in multiple ways: by overwhelming him with 1,000 sharks which will proceed to devour the toad, or by firing off a at the toad to drain it of chakra and kill it. Keep in mind food cart destroyer won't work on Kisame since a) Minato needs to be above Kisame to make the toad appear in that spot, a location he won't reach due to the environment being in Kisame's favor and b) the effect of the water will reduce the impact of the toad so rather than slamming down on Kisame it will slowly sink towards him, which Kisame can easily avoid by swimming out of the way. Minato making clones is equally pointless, since Kisame can just summon a shark for every clone or better yet, counter with his own water clones which are superior in that he can create a higher quantity of clones than Minato, as well as the fact that the clones can merge with their clone copies of Samehada and also gain all the benefits that come with a Samehada fusion.

With Minato low on oxygen and probably chakra as well, we enter the final stage of the battle.

Final Stage

By now the sharks have all congregated in one spot. Let's assume Minato hasn't teleported there yet. Now Kisame can fire off a Daikodan at Minato, summon a few sharks / make a few water clones to attack him, or just swim up to Minato himself. If Minato doesn't teleport to avoid the attack, he gets his chakra drained and dies. If Minato does teleport to any of his kunai, he'll be greeted by sharks and eaten alive. Or he just drowns if nothing else. Checkmate.

Minato will either drown, get eaten by sharks, die of chakra depletion, or get wounded fatally by Kisame's bones, making this a mid difficulty win for Kisame.

Yeah Minato would start off by throwing Kunai for sure and giving the distance.. he can summon his toads, create clones and all. He can mark his toads and other near surroundings if time gives.

Now we know fully well that this is how the dome works :

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

Firstly, I noticed Minato had not intel on it but given his intelligence, he can figure out the mechanics behind it after 1 or 2 times since B could do so.

When Kisame moves at you, the water as well moves more towards you with force so in other words, Minato would feel the water moving towards him since he's in it and he can see very well that Kisame is moving towards him. Anything left to be said? This would enable him to know that the water moves with Kisame.

Given that that's how it works, when they're in the dome:

- Kisame would have a major problem catching Minato since his clones can summon him via FTG anytime or even him can teleport to them or the toads:
You must be registered for see images

Kisame would have to chase only one person as seen..He can't chase one and then go after the other..If not, he won't be fooling B in other to draw him back

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

Now that we've seen this, If Kisame goes for the real Minato, he'll teleport to the summons or the clones and that way he can escape the dome. Since Kisame would be swimming towards a different direction from the others. This allows Minato to escape the dome.

- Let's be honest, Kisame won't be using a 1000 sharks in the dome. Especially when he's using that to attack Bunta and the clones while he's going for Minato further leading the sharks out of the dome and unable to move well without water.

- Daikodan is pretty featless but yeah it does absorbs attacks. However, S/T Barrier can be used to send it to a different location, Minato can teleport the Toads and himself out of its way. Not to mention Kisame is stationary when he uses this attack leaving him completely vulnerable by other clones and toads

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

Not to mention those sharks get easily taken out

Given Minato's footspeed and teleportation. Kisame won't automatically absorb chakra when Minato touches him as he makes Samehada to do this :

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

For example, Minato chakra isn't visible like the cloak so Kisame won't be absorbing it unless he makes contact. Given the fact that Kisame against team Gai couldn't absorb their chakras.

Like he did with B when his chakra wasn't visible :

You must be registered for see images

We've seen many cases were Samehada doesn't absorb chakra unless it is told to do so..If Minato surprises him and marks him through maybe clone diversion, Samehada won't absorb his chakra naturally especially when Kisame isn't prepared to do so(even though he fuses) and even if it does, that won't stop Minato given his reserves. Notice how he pierces B when merged in order to absorb his chakra here:

You must be registered for see images

Just shows it won't really take much when Minato just touches him.

How to end Kisame

Now we know this is the trickiest part given this guys durability. So I'll be going through methods in which he can use:

- Decapitation

This is the general method in order to take down this guy. We've seen Minato using raw strength with his Kunai to cut the 8tails Tentacles:

You must be registered for see images

And we've seen Zabuza use his Kunai to take of Gato's head despite running:

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

Such a method isn't unlike Minato seeing as he attempted to slash the Raikage with his Kunai before he was saved and he even attempted to use a similar style against Obito

Senjutsu

When you see the title, I'm not referring to Minato using SM. At least not yet.

You must be registered for see images

Kisame is unaware of this..so he'll definitely try to absorb their attacks to make himself stronger.

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

There's also a slight possibility of Minato's clone being able to enter SM given the fact that Naruto's clone did the same. If Kisame is distracted enough, either Minato himself or his clone(if it can) can stay for a while and enter SM.

Anyways, Kisame trying to absorb Senjutsu would eventually turn him into a toad.

Yes, I agree that Kisame will not be able to react at close range quickly enough to dodge or counter instant teleportation, what I am saying is that Kisame can react and counterattack quickly enough to clash with Minato in a mutual strike, in which they both get injured. However, Kisame's injury will only be healed while Minato will retain significant damage.

I don't understand how the scan of Jiraiya pertains here. He let his guard down. Besides, Samehada's sensing works in a completely different way.

So running out of Chakra won't be an issue here.

What are you talking about? We're talking about a guy who can drain a bijuu of chakra. Minato may have decent chakra reserves, but they don't compare to a Tailed Beast's and are certainly much lower than Kisame's.

Yes, that is how the dome works but I've already explained why Minato's usage of clones would not be useful in this situation: for each clone Minato makes, Kisame can summon 2-3 sharks, which go after and attack the clones, while Kisame can go after the real one, or make water clones to go after the real one. If the clones teleport to avoid attacks, then they end up continuing to teleport to each other and end up in a clump with no other clones left to teleport to. Now the sharks can begin their feeding frenzy without worrying about the clones teleporting away. With the marked clones extinguished, Minato ends up with nowehere to teleport to.

This shouldn't even need to be covered since underwater, Minato ad his clones can not swim fast at all relative to sharks or Kisame (in fact we don't even know if he can swim :|) so the clones won't be able to cross much distance underwater, meaning there won't be safe places out of reach for Minato to teleport to. In fact it's doubtful that Minato can cross even the radius of the water dome, much less the diameter...

- Let's be honest, Kisame won't be using a 1000 sharks in the dome. Especially when he's using that to attack Bunta and the clones while he's going for Minato further leading the sharks out of the dome and unable to move well without water.

What's stopping him from doing it? He can have several hundred sharks attack Bunta while several dozen others are busying the clones and some more attacking Minato himself. Different sharks have different tasks. Lastly, sharks can swim fine outside a water source, by encasing themselves in a bubble of water:

- Daikodan is pretty featless but yeah it does absorbs attacks. However, S/T Barrier can be used to send it to a different location, Minato can teleport the Toads and himself out of its way. Okay, I agree with this.

Not to mention those sharks get easily taken out

Regarding the first three scans - Gamabunta's suiton attacks won't work underwater since Kisame's water dome is infused with more chakra and is more powerful.

You must be registered for see images

For example, if you and someone else were both completely underwater, and he squirts water at you from a water gun, you still mildly feel the pressure from the gun but the force is greatly reduced.

Regarding the last scan - Gamaken cannot swing his weapon around with speed underwater do the the liquid nature of water pressure which slows down movement, likewise with Gamabunta's sword. All their movements will be slowed down underwater and their attacks will easily be dodged.

Given Minato's footspeed and teleportation. Kisame won't automatically absorb chakra when Minato touches him as he makes Samehada to do this :

Notice how he pierces B when merged in order to absorb his chakra here:

Just shows it won't really take much when Minato just touches him.

Samehada doesn't need to be told to absorb chakra if he is loyal to Kisame. In that scan you posted, Kisame had to force Samehada to absorb chakra for him since at that time the sword was loyal to Bee. If nothing else, then a full-on merging with Samehada means that chakra is absorbed automatically off his skin, and he doesn't need to communicate with his sword since they are fused. If for some reason absorbtion is not automatic and requires that Kisame 'activates' absorbtion, Kisame can do so at a moment's notice and quickly "turn on" absorbtion by sensing when Minato is about to land a chakra-based attack.

Don't know why you said Samehada can't absorb chakra off people in base form by just touching them. Samehada doesn't need to stab its opponent and "tap in" to the person's chakra network, it can absorb chakra through touching an opponent's skin like Preta path does . Nonetheless, Samehada can extend its spikes to impale an opponent.

While I agree that decapitation can kill Kisame, I don't believe Minato will be able to execute it. The slashing or cutting force behind the kunai needed for decapitation is greatly slowed down underwater, so Minato won't have enough force behind the kunai to fully cut off his head. Anything less is most likely healed by Samehada with ease. And Kisame's durability is most likely too high for a kunai to penetrate very deep or cause any real damage, considering he can tank and heal most attacks without trouble.

Senjutsu

Anyways, Kisame trying to absorb Senjutsu would eventually turn him into a toad.

First off, Minato can't have a clone enter SM. You need a large amount of chakra as it is to even handle senjutsu.

You must be registered for see images

And with the amount of chakra an individual kage bunshin has, it won't be able to enter Sage Mode.

You must be registered for see images

The fact that Minato is makes this even more obvious.

Senjutsu is not a problem since Minato won't decide to use senjutsu and turn Kisame into a frog when he absorbs his chakra, until he actually realizes that Samehada can absorb chakra. The only way Minato will find out that Samehada absorbs chakra is if he himself gets his chakras absorbed, and at that point he won't be able to enter SM at all - since by losing chakra to Samehada, he won't have the neccessary chakra pools required to enter SM and can't properly balance his three different types of chakra. What makes this even harder for Minato is that in an underwater environment, one is constantly floating around or moving so it's impossible for him to stay completely still to enter SM. The chances of Minato entering Sage Mode (if he decides to use it at all) are nearly zero.

However, Kisame's injury will only be healed while Minato will retain significant damage.
The point I'm trying to make is Kisame won't be able to sense fast enough and that would delay his reactions since without sensing, he stands no chance of knowing Minato's positions with the different Kunais. He won't be able to sense fast enough and that's already a disadvantage. The BSM Naruto and Juubito scenario is an example that should make it clear..Naruto who could usually sense couldn't sense Juubito because of his speed until after sometime. There's no mutual strike that's going to be happening that would leave Minato injured if it comes down to a CQC.

I don't understand how the scan of Jiraiya pertains here. He let his guard down. Besides, Samehada's sensing works in a completely different way.
In a different way? Sensing is sensing...You sense by chakra and that's the same thing Samehada does

Not to mention you saw how 2 sensors(Ma and Pa) failed to sense Asura path quickly. Letting your guard down isn't going to prevent you from sensing or is it?

What are you talking about? We're talking about a guy who can drain a bijuu of chakra. Minato may have decent chakra reserves, but they don't compare to a Tailed Beast's and are certainly much lower than Kisame's.

Minato's chakra doesn't have to compare to a tailed beats in order for him not to run out. Minato from what we know has a large charka reserve. Kisame draining Minato when he can't even touch him isn't going t happen.

Yes, that is how the dome works but I've already explained why Minato's usage of clones would not be useful in this situation: for each clone Minato makes, Kisame can summon 2-3 sharks, which go after and attack the clones, while Kisame can go after the real one, or make water clones to go after the real one. Now the sharks can begin their feeding frenzy without worrying about the clones teleporting away. With the marked clones extinguished, Minato ends up with nowehere to teleport to.

I'l tell you why this can't work...Minato as I stated before would tag his surrounding(It could be the ground, the trees around this location ) as well as the clones and the summonings. So the clones can teleport to other areas as well. Not to mention I already explained that Kisame is the center, so the sharks swimming towards different directions would eventually lead some out of the dome and then Minato's clone and toads can teleport to the clones who made it out of the dome. The sharks don't stand a chance against the clones outside water.

Doesn't matter..Kisame isn't going to rapidly get to them so quickly. He can swim faster but it would take a while giving the fact that Kisame would have to be summoning creatures and using attacks like GSB in attempt to get rid of Minato and his clones in which Kisame would be stationary. Not to mention you said the sharks would be going for the Kunais as well..How won't Minato have enough time to increase the distance.

There's the fact that if he rushes at Minato with speed, he can simply teleport him away by catching him off guard.

What's stopping him from doing it? He can have several hundred sharks attack Bunta while several dozen others are busying the clones and some more attacking Minato himself. Different sharks have different tasks. Lastly, sharks can swim fine outside a water source, by encasing themselves in a bubble of water:

You must be registered for see images

If he uses it, He swims a different direction from the sharks, so they'll be out of the water where they don't stand a chance

If they're encased in water, I'd love to here how they'll be freely biting Gamabunta an the others?

Not to mention Naruto, a weakened Gai and a couple others were holding thier own against sharks in water despite the water pressure making it hard for them.

You must be registered for see images

Surely toads fair much better than humans in water. The sharks would be destroyed outside the water and can be killed via the techniques.

Regarding the first three scans - Gamabunta's suiton attacks won't work underwater since Kisame's water dome is infused with more chakra and is more powerful.

@bold Based on? That's not going to stop it. If anything, it would assist it. It isn't an opposing jutsu which attacks an opponent, if not Bee would have been harmed from it. So this is wrong. A water Jutsu isn't going to be slow in water.

If you were correct, then Kisame shouldn't be able to use his Water Style Jutsus like the sharks and GSB in the dome since it is infused with more chakra and would prevent that.

So if Bunta is unable to use his water style in the Dome, Kisame shouldn't be able to use other Jutsus as well except maybe GSB which is stronger and since it absorbs chakra, It would end up absorbing the Dome's chakra as well.

You must be registered for see images

- I see your point but it really doesn't hold here giving the fact that the a Water style Jutsu won't be slow in water. Look at this for example, One isn't an attacking style Jutsu but it increases the attacking style of another Jutsu and they are in the same category.

You must be registered for see images

You'll be correct if the Water dome was an opposing Jutsu but it isn't. B was able to use his ink in it as well
You must be registered for see images

For example, if you and someone else were both completely underwater, and he squirts water at you from a water gun, you still mildly feel the pressure from the gun but the force is greatly reduced.

GSB was underwater but it wasn't reduced. Bunta's Jutsu is infused with chakra that won't reduce it or would at least kill the sharks considering upon considering they died upon coming in contact with the wind force of Gai opening the gates

Like I said anyways, GSB would absorb the Dome's chakra is used.

Regarding the last scan - Gamaken cannot swing his weapon around with speed underwater do the the liquid nature of water pressure which slows down movement, likewise with Gamabunta's sword. All their movements will be slowed down underwater and their attacks will easily be dodged.

I showed you a scan of Naruto and the others handling the sharks in water despite the pressure. Surely Toads would fair much better. Not to mention when Kisame swims a different direction, he's leaving the sharks out the water.

Samehada doesn't need to be told to absorb chakra if he is loyal to Kisame. In that scan you posted, Kisame had to force Samehada to absorb chakra for him since at that time the sword was loyal to Bee.
I'm not just talking about forcing, I'm saying Samehada doesn't automatically absorb unless it is made to do so. That is, if Minato touches him without him knowing, he can escape Samehada absorbing his chakra. Notice how Samehada doesn't absorb Susanoo upon making contact with it
You must be registered for see images

My point is, Samehada doesn't naturally absorb chakra it comes in contact with unless it tries to absorb that chakra.

If Minato catches him off guard with his speed and giving the fact that his speed would not enable Kisame to sense him quickly, he'll mark with just a touch and his chakra won't be absorbed considering his chakra isn't visible. We saw how it didn't absorb Gai's chakra upon Gai holding it :

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

Doesn't matter whether it wasn't the real Kisame as we've seen Samehada showing the same characteristics, so there's no reason why it won't be able to absorb. With Kisame and the same right here with Kisame even saying

Yes but I explained on how it won't be automatic. Not to mention this is implying Kisame has what it takes to react to Minato when 6G Gai already blitz him.

One more thing I didn't address,

Earlier on I said it's needs to be visible for him to casually absorb right? If it's not visible, he won't casually absorb free as seen with Team Gai. This scan just adds to it:

You must be registered for see images

Notice how the visible chakra is easily absorbed but then we see Gai makes contact with him without getting his chakra absorbed.

Don't know why you said Samehada can't absorb chakra off people in base form by just touching them. Samehada doesn't need to stab its opponent and "tap in" to the person's chakra network, it can absorb chakra through touching an opponent's skin like Preta path does .

Preta path example doesn't work because Preta even jumped back and then absorbed:
You must be registered for see images

Absorption doesn't happen instantly when you're caught off guard.

Another example without getting his chakra absorbed:

Nonetheless, Samehada can extend its spikes to impale an opponent.

What's funny is Kisame reacting and evading the spikes...You think Minato won't do the same? Not to mention this would happen assuming they can keep up with Minato's speed.

While I agree that decapitation can kill Minato, I don't believe Minato will be able to execute it.

Makes sense but if Minato escapes the dome, it would happen. Kisame won't be tanking a Kunai through his neck though..Not a chance.
Not at least when a thrown Kunai with less force could cause him to bleed merely by piercing his hand.

With much force and giving the fact that we've seen Zabuza use a Kunai with his mouth to cut off Gato's head, there no doubt about that as Minato even used a Kunai in his mouth to cut at least a tree

Not to mention we can see B striking fast enough to hit a shark despite it being in water Don't think Minato would be slowed down by much even though its water. Even so, he can do it on land if he escapes the dome.

First off, Minato can't have a clone enter SM. You need a large amount of chakra as it is to even handle senjutsu.

And with the amount of chakra an individual kage bunshin has, it won't be able to enter Sage Mode.

The fact that Minato is makes this even more obvious.

Yeah but I actually said this to be my main point:

Kisame is unaware of this..so he'll definitely try to absorb their attacks to make himself stronger. Kisame would be absorbing their techniques since he doesn't know about this.

- Doesn't matter since if Minato tries to blitz with a Rasengan(Which is his main technique), the Rasengan gets absorbed and not Minato's chakra like how Preta absorbed Jman's Rasengan without Jman getting his Chakra absorbed:

So yeah he can figure out without getting his chakra absorbed.

Unless you think Minato is going to get to his position without wanting to finish him quickly. Not to mention Minato doesn't need to attack first in order to know this when he has Toads as well.

What makes this even harder for Minato is that in an underwater environment, one is constantly floating around or moving so it's impossible for him to stay completely still to enter SM. The chances of Minato entering Sage Mode (if he decides to use it at all) are nearly zero.

Yeah but his toads use Senjutsu attacks so it's not a problem if he can't enter it. Kisame would definitely try to absorb their attacks turning him to a frog.

Other things you ignored as well:

Firstly, The Kunais won't be washed away by the water if their thrown to the ground or the trees:

- Notice how the Kunai despite being tied to the scroll didn't come off while it was pulled with the weight of of 2 people( Kakashi and Sakura)

- Notice how Obito is kept still by it despite his weight.

Not a chance of the sharks pulling it out if it's stuck to the ground.

Secondly:

This is the shark dance technique:

Now notice how it says it sucks chakra, If it sucks in Nature energy from the Toad, the technique won't hold as it can't handle that...Therefore the Dome won't function and would drop. That's only if the technique(Dome) itself absorbs Jutsu's..If not, then they just escape it as I explained
