I watched Death Note a long time ago and i liked it....no.... i loved it.. spoilers btw, but when L died i just stopped...


I found L as the perfect "good guy" he was funny and cool, but when he died the show just wasn't that good.
I felt sad when L died and Light was just smiling above him and i hated it... but when Light finally dies i overall felt like it was a great anime!

He got what he deserved and it's ending was good and all

So what is your guys/girls thought on this?
Did you like it or hate it?

Loved L. the way he ate and acted he was soo funny. i stopped watching when that little kid (L's replacement) came but then after a year i watched it again til the end.

L knew all along though, but unfortunately Light had ''supernatural powers'' so to speak

L was awesome, when he died I just couldn't be as into it as I was before, I also started hating Light at that point, but I think the first (although very minor) drop in quality occurs when Light gives up the death note and they stop hunting each-other

I was reading the manga first and when L died I stopped reading it. I just quit.

Like a year later they had a marathon of the episodes on cartoon network and I ended up watching it till the end. It wasn't as good without him in my opinion.

Very good Anime (I didn't read the manga).
L was my favourite character, so I wasn't a big fan of when he died.

But on the other hand, it shows that nobody was invincible. So overall it was a very good plot twist.

I read the original manga first. <3 loved it.
I was hooked at the first 5 minutes of the anime and it was a lot more interesting than I expected.
I loved Death Note , but it started to lose some of my interest when Light/Misa were both arrested while other ppl had the DN.
I kept watching.. Then the episode when Light returned to his devious self I was excited again. (when L first saw the shinigami)
Then after L loss , I fell asleep . Zzzz Melo and Near are interesting but annoying and the story could've been more exciting during their time . I really loved Naomi though and Misa for her moments while L was around. Wished Matt and Mikami could've had action for their characters and Takada wasn't appealing to me.

I started reading it,and i liked it at the beginning.The it started to get a lil bit boring and then I stopped reading it because i was too lazy.But i liked it.Lol

Brilliant anime and one of the bests i have ever watched and its up there with bleach and one-piece. Light is my favorite character he is a genius from head to toe and despite l having the whole law enforcement behind him he didn't really have the upper hand against light. Near was an annoying fellow i hated everything about him and remember light wouldn't have been caught were it not for that dude forgot his name lol.

I don't get why everybody hates Near? Sure, he's not as good as L but he still got the job done. His personality reminds you of a younger L. Mello I can understand. It seems a bit unrealistic (as far as Death Note goes) to have a 18-20 year old command a Mafia organisation like that. He was also a bit of a pri*k but ah well, he's still super intelligent like the rest of them (although not AS intelligent).

People dislike Near and Mello because they have the 'know it all' feel to them, not necessarily smug by choice, but by 'force', as in 'it was the role they had to carry on.' I personally don't mind them, much. The series is awesome o-o

OT: Exactly this apart from after L died. I liked Near and Mello (Near more than Mello but not as much as L). Mikami did have action...it just failed lol. Matt: I agree with you on that point though.

I like Near a lot (I guess :O in his One Shot Manga after Death Note is over. He looks a lot cooler and bad@$$ xD actually .
Yeah Mikami didn't have any fighting scenes is what I mean for all that exercising he did in the gym. lol but I liked how frantic unstable and psychotic he was around his God Kira. nevermind . I think it was against his religion to fight back or something.

I actually like Melo a lot and his character is very action packed I think more so than the others with violence I mean. ie guns, explosives, but i'd rather not hear any of his voices XD Matt actually has a pretty nice fan base for not appearing much in the story and I wish he could've had more time in the series.

I loved Death Note, it made it seem as if the bad guy won. And still plot twisted the death of the bad guy in the end.
Just awesome
