I loved it .
Loved L , Loved Light didn't like Near .
He was not upto L's level .

Yeah, i agree =D Near and Mello didn't feel the same way as L, but i liked when Light was finaly defeated :p He deserved it. I liked Light in the beginning, but when L died and he was pretending to be sad and he was just laughing at his face... i almost felt depressed because L was my favorite, but it had to happen i guess :eww:

Light actually didn't kill L. He forced someone to make a decision. *_*

I read the original manga first. <3 loved it. :D
I was hooked at the first 5 minutes of the anime and it was a lot more interesting than I expected.
I loved Death Note , but it started to lose some of my interest when Light/Misa were both arrested while other ppl had the DN.
I kept watching.. Then the episode when Light returned to his devious self I was excited again. (when L first saw the shinigami)
Then after L loss , I fell asleep . Zzzz Melo and Near are interesting but annoying and the story could've been more exciting during their time . I really loved Naomi though and Misa for her moments while L was around. Wished Matt and Mikami could've had action for their characters and Takada wasn't appealing to me.

Yeah, Mello and Near just wasn't on the same level as L:(

They really are two of the best characters in anime, and definitely the best rivalry. They're polar opposites, really.

Light's development is just awesome, though, and that's really all that kept the show going after L died. It's amazing just how many people actually liked him and rooted for him. That's the show's strong point, in my opinion.
