Ok, be rational, that movie is going to be made, so isn't it better to at least choose some decent actors?
No matter how good Kenichi might be, he won't be starring in the US version, that's for sure.
Also, I've heard that Warner Brothers stated that the upcoming version is going to follow the story from manga, and that's not what I've heard about the Japanese version.

Rathbone is such a talented actor who loves characters that are 'on the edge'. If anyone can pull it off, he can.
Mind Twilight, see Criminal Minds, Dread [it will soon come out], S. Darko. He's also been chosen for the role of 'the count' [Varg Vikerness]. As I said, he could pull it off, and more - he'd love it. He dedicates completely to every role, and I really think that he is the best choice.
Have anyone else on mind for the role of L? Don't think so. But, if you do - let's see.
Again, this movie is going to happen, and why not try to improve it at least by trying to have some influence on the cast?

As for Efron.. no comments. He's just not right for a complicated role.
