Chapter three...

Naruto, Choji, Shikamaru and Sauske are all at the front door of a witnesses house. The report claims she heard screaming an went to check it out. She then called the shinobi when she found the body of the victim. (in this fanfiction shinobi are kinda police). its getting late and the sun has been replaced by the moon. Naruto is looking at a clip board with the report on it. The others are listening to him speak.​

Naruto: "The witnesses name is Sakura Haruno. She noticed the screams at around 11:40.pm. on the night of the murder. Not much is said about the witness other than that she had a friend over at the time called Ino Yamanaka, daughter of the flower shop owner , Inoichi Yamanaka."

Shikamaru: "Why did the witness have a friend over"?

Naruto: "Apparently Inoichi has a business trip so Ino is staying over Sakuras' house for the time being."

Shikamaru: "That makes sense. Are you going to put them up as suspects"?

Naruto: "Depends on what I get from them now.

Naruto knocks on the door.

Naruto: "Hey Shikamaru, why are you here anyway"?

Shikamaru: "No reason. Thought I would join the investigation since I have nothing better to do".

Naruto: "fair enough. Just don't get in the way of anything".

Sauske: "Why are you letting him tag along? He doesn't have any qualifications, he hasn't had any training or experience and he-"

Naruto: "Sauske"? (Naruto interrupts him)

Sauske: "What?"

Naruto: "Shut-up. I let him on the team cause he's intelligent and perceptive. It doesn't hurt to have another brain in the team, since your not contributing.

Sauske: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT!!!???"

(Meanwhile Choji and Shikamaru are laughing there heads off).

Naruto: " Just that you have no brain."

Before Sauske could use a very insulting comeback the door the the Haruno residence opens. standing there is Sakura in a formal pinkish-red dress. You can see Ino looking at the doorway from the living room down the hall.

Sakura: "Hi what can I do for you"?

Naruto: "We're private investigators looking into the Hyuuga case. We would like to ask you a few questions."

Sakura: "No problems, come inside. you can put your shoes there. Sakura gestures to a bench next to the wall of the house.

As the group enters the house Sauske starts asking questions about the murder.

Sauske: "At what time did you find the body"?

Sakura: "At around 11:45 to 11:50 I think".

Sauske writes this down on a note pad. they come into the lounge room and Naruto takes a seat on the opposite lounge from Ino. Sakura sits down next to Ino while Sauske stands next to the lounge Naruto is on. Shikamaru stands next to the fire place at one end of the couches while Choji sits next to Naruto.

Sauske: "At what time did you hear the screams"?

Sakura: "At 11:40pm".

Naruto: "Miss Ino, where were you at the time"?

Ino: "Asleep, In the guest bedroom".

Naruto: "Hmm. Both of you, have you ever had any relations with Hinata Hyuuga or her family"?

Ino: "Sometimes she came into the store to buy flowers and stuff. She said she needed them for her medicine."

Naruto: "She took medicine"?

Ino: "No, she was a pharmasist. you know, someone who makes medicines and stuff".

Sauske: "Huh, and you Miss Sakura"?

Sakura: "Me? No I didn't know her."

Naruto: "But the report said you could identify her as a hyuuga"?

Sakura "Yes, but that's only because she had her weird eye ability activated."

Shikamaru: What!? Why did she have her byakugan activated?

Sauske: "Well thanks for your time. We might come back later for some more questions but that's all for now".

Sakura: "No problems. hope you catch the bast@rd".

Shikamaru: "We'll try."

the group leave the house and start walking.

Choji: "Well that was interesting."

Naruto: "Yeah, gave me alot to think about."

as the group come by an intersection Choji throws out his arm to stop everyone but punches sauske in the face, knocking him out. a group of shinobi run past very quickly.

Shikamaru (with a smile) "what was that for"?

Choji: "Well it was that or being trampled by a group of shinobi. And anyway, Sauske deserved that.

Shikamaru bursts out laughing.

Shikamaru: "Yeah true. Bit who's going to carry him"?


choji turns around

Choji: "Hey naruto.......hey, where did he go"?

Choji then turns back to Shikamaru.

Choji: "Hey mind..........Shikamaru"?

Shikamaru had left while Choji turned his back.

Choji: "WHY DO I HAVE TO CARRY HIM?!?!?!?!"

Will Choji leave Sauske on the road?
Will Naruto figure out this case?
Will Shikamaru ever get the credentials for investigating?
