IMHO

MOS would not get near a billion, maybe $680 million + worldwide
but it will be

Man of Steel will be the better movie, but Iron Man 3 will have higher earnings. Its just because Marvel has done an amazing job with their universe and Iron Man's popularity is very high right now thanks to the first two movies and The Avengers. While DC did a great job with Batman, they never tied that into a larger universe that would spill into the Superman movie so that fans of one series would want to see the other.

What about The Wolverine? It's a Marvel character too. But if this is between Iron man 3 and Man of Steel, then I would go with Iron Man 3. Only because Stan Lee has written part of it and Robert Downy Jr. MOS has good prospect with Chris Nolan involved in writing it.

They've done an awful job with X-Men in general and the last Wolverine movie wasn't very well received. This new one looks alright, but its got a lot of past failures working against it.

stark= only weakness being outstrengthed kent = kryponite(which every villain in DC seems to get ahold of when they fight Superman)

stark= womanizer(at times) kent= Lois

As I said everything about them is different.
