I don't like the DC verse to be honest , I just love the Batman verse ....but if you give me a good movie I'll be on board with it , as a comic book fan all I really want is great superheroes movies ........that's why I really really want them to do well too , competition will bring the better of both verse , so we win .

I don't know much aout the DC verse but for what I do know, it's really good, Batman's world, Flash's world, Wonderwoman and the amazonians, the GL corps are of of the best from DC.

DC has very interesting things to work with, and we can see that with the animated movies, or tv shows. The only thing missing is doing great live action movies.

You wanna know why Superman MOS was garbage? Because they broke the cardinal Superman rule: NO KILLING. Sure plenty if not all comic movies take liberties with stories and what have you but to completely ignore such a drastic characteristic would be like making a Batman who smiled and told jokes.

IMO DC has the animated movies side locked down but Marvel does better with their Live Action adaptations. Even the newest batman movies by Christopher Nolan were just ok. The Dark Knight was the best one and that was predominately due to Heath. It's easy to judge older movies harsher especially when comparing to newer ones, but for me the Spiderman trilogy is the best comic trilogy so far. Batman had a chance until The Dark Knight Rises came along.

I'll admit Marvel's had their flops with Hulk and Thor(I know a lot of people will disagree with me on that one)but they're better at telling a story that maintains interest. I love Batman as a character, but Nolans movies were too long, slow paced and filled with "artistic" shots. On the opposite hand, I hate Captain America as a comic character but these movies Marvel put out has swayed my opinion quite a bit. The fighting choreography they used in Cap is what Nolan should have done for Batman.

Honestly though people just love to complain it makes them feel like they're in a group above the general fans. A lot of the movies that get slammed are actually pretty good movies. None of them are accurate adaptations but they're all good movies for the most part. I.E. Green Lantern was a visually good movie, with a few tweaks here and there in the story line it would have been great, Daredevil was a good movie and very close to the actual comics, people just like to put down Affleck as evidenced by his announcement as Batman, Spiderman were all good movies however after 5-6 years people thought it was cool to put down Toby as Peter but those 3 all have replay value. The only movies I didn't really like were Hulk 1, MOS, Catwoman, Thor and the first Punisher with Travolta(War Zone was way better and more accurate to the character) It seems movies tend to be based on whether or not people like the actor like Elektra a lot of people didn't like Garner so they disliked the movie or Nick Cage and Ghost Rider or Ryan reynolds and GL.

I agree with your point on the no killing part, I actually tought before he killed Zod that he was going to send him to the phantom zone, like always, but still it was quite enjoyable.

And one more thing, I personally like Reinolds as Hal Jordan, I think it fits him, if only he script was better and the mask wasn't CGI, that upset me.

"No killing"

How else does he get rid of Zod?..

Phantom Zone was no option.. He couldn't knock him out.... It was either he kills him.. or Zod Kills Superman the entire Race... Which one should he pick? Survival of his own people or the survival of Humanity? Superman LEARNS to not kill people.. that is the point here...

This wasn't SUPERMAN.. this was Clark Kent TURNING INTO Superman.. big difference. Man Of Steel 2 or Dawn Of Justice will have SUPERMAN.

And also what was with Hulk pounding the shit out of Loki? o_O

Heath is overrated in the Dark Knight.. the movie was mostly good due to the script and the story written by Nolan and etc. Furthermore, on a grand scale basis, Dark Knight rises was quite better than anything marvel has come up with except the winter soldier and Thor 2. But the Dark Knight movies aren't "comic" book based, they basically tell us how things would be if Batman were to be brought to our world.. that is it.

And did you really like Captain america 1? I suppose then you are into those short movies with mediocre action.

Yea i do agree with you man. The movies for some reason are the actor's fault if they fail. While the actor is nothing more than a tool for the director. And this is something people fail to realize. Ben Affleck himself said he regrets doing Daredevil. But he is doing Batman, because he really likes Snyder's take on Batman. Yea the thing with Green Lantern also was.. everything was good to me. Sure they could've made the villain more villain like, instead of pulling the big "cloud" villain. But man the planet, the green lanter corp, Hal Jordan himself, the rings.. everything was amazing man.

But yea i guess its a difference of the type of movies we like. You see people getting hyped up for Deadpool.. i'm on the other hand not as excited. Its basically making a movie about Deathstroke and titling him as a superhero. Just doesn't work for me. But that shouldn't prevent me from enjoying and judging the movie itself on a fair basis.

Where to start? Clark Kent never killed either, he never needed to learn through experience not to kill that's what Jon and martha were there for. Secondly why wouldn't the Phantom Zone have been a viable option they had just pushed Zod's troops into it it's not like it wasn't in existence for this movie.

Cap 1 was 124 minutes MOS was 143 minutes, not even a half hour longer so if one is short so is the other. As for mediocre action they had way better fight choreography in Cap than Batman, maybe you just like big explosion battles like MOS rather than hand to hand combat styles like Batman/daredevil/Cap. TDKR was 165 minutes almost 3 hours so yea Cap may look short compared to that but on the other hand GL was 113 so Cap was longer than that.

Hulk was comic effect.

That's the thing I disliked the most about Nolan's Batman movies tbh. I dislike taking a purely fantastical world like a comic book and trying to humanize it for a casual audience that thinks comics are cheesy yet are bothering to come see a comic movie. I don't want over the top campy but I want authenticity to the source, no changing character names or origins etc. etc. Nolan didn't really do Batman the character justice. Bruce is a master martial artist, yet we see Bale doing little to no martial arts once in costume, he fought better in that prison then he did suited up. On top of that Bruce is the greatest detective mind in DC, yet again, did little to no detective work, his entire evidence obtaining procedure was grab a guy growl in his face where is the (insert noun).

First of all I'm not hyped about the Deadpool movie because I've accepted a long time ago it's not coming. Second, we don't know how he's going to be billed technically, obviously he'll be the protagonist so he'll win but so would Deathstroke in a Deathstroke movie. The script that exists would have him be a Merc for hire just like the initial Kelly run thus not really a hero nor a villain as he wouldn't be fighting heroes, he'd be fighting random villains and regular people he was hired to kill. Third it's more likely he'll be introduced in the X-Force movie as a villain then branch into his solo where by the end he wants to become a hero then they can ween him into other movies, even an X-Force sequel with his and Fantomex's team.

I thought Man of Steel was a lot better than Superman Returns. Although I know what you mean, I'm personally a Marvel fan and not DC because Marvel has a lot of really great characters.
