I do like both as they each have their pros and cons. I did however, grow up on DragonBall Z, so for me DBZ : P

DBZ is a forerunner in anime, it deserves it's due credit. However I feel that it's often praised mostly because of the nostalgia factor more than anything else.
I honestly can barely watch DBZ, the art style and animation is meh. BUT it's like what Elvis was to rock music, doesn't matter if it's not my taste, it did SO many good things for the genre.
Naruto wins my vote though xD
