If u knew it was genuine then u could have just said so from the beginning instead of trying to degrade the Uchiha in the same sentence. When u did that u kinda made it sound like u believed it to be a lie told to trick a child rather than the genuine admiration that it really was.

so you're telling me that my morals suck because i don't see the point in making a big deal out of what was a generally accepted practice of lying in that world? Kakashi's first lessons to T7 was that a ninja had to be able to see through lies, because there wasn't anything illegal or immoral about telling them as far as that culture was concerned.Naruto always admired Sasuke and Sasuke admired Naruto. Both of them have deep respect for the other, and Naruto knows how much Sasuke is sacrificing for the Shinobi world. Therefore he gave honest praise.
Much was the same for Hashirama. After hearing all that Itachi went through Hashirama felt nothing, but admiration at Itachi's life as a shinobi.

No, I am pretty sure that if u tell anyone that you only told someone something because they were butthurt that would think that u lied. :|Or maybe like the other 90% of the uchiha fanbase, you lack proper reading comprehension skills and jump to conclusions based on your own assessment.

In a perfect world that would be true, but irl ppl lie and use phrases that r misleading. For that reason the best way to understand the true meaning of their words is context. That is what led me to my conclusion
