Why would garra be any where near the water? Scratch that.

Why would garra be touching the floor? He chills on his nimbus while sending wave after wave of beach sand at darui.

Darui w/high to extreme difficulty only because of the location.

Darui can use water-style techniques to slow the sand and then proceed to use ration to electrocute Gaara. If this was just on land alone, I'd give it to Gaara without question but being on the water really puts him in a great disadvantage. Then there's also Laser Circus and Black Panther that Gaara would have to deal with.

All in all, this is an unfair match-up for Gaara.

Gaara low-diffs.

Darui doesn't have the agility to consistently dodge a Sand Tsunami or Massive Shukaku Arms that managed to engulf Deidara, not to mention Darui has absolutely nothing that can penetrate his absolute defense. Lightning Circus is the most viable offense as it seemed to be the quickest as he used it against Kin/ Gin as a means to strike quickly after catching them off-guard, but it's feats are pathetic, so there's absolutely no way Darui manages to get through Gaara's defense.

He was only shown using one because that was the only time he felt the need to use it

Chee was ambiguous. "Another Suiton" can easily mean him using another water wall, since technically that would be "Another suiton".

Not to mention water wall is the only water technique used to combat katon since part 1, which Chee Told him to get ready for.

Gaara vs Kimimaro=On the ground until Bone Forest was used
Gaara vs Deidara=In the air BECAUSE Deidara went airborne first
Gaara vs Madara=Majority of the fight on the ground
Gaara vs Yondaime Kazekage and other Kages=On the ground

So why are you stipulating your own OC Gaara? Because the IC Gaara clearly fights on the ground unless he has reason to go airborne. He won't know of Dariui's Raiton to go ariborne, since Gaara only knows he's an elite Jonin.
