Dark Release is an element that is very special from others, it is released as a purple energy that when hits their target will cause damage on the inside of their body instead of damage that can be seen on the outside, which may be useful for you. Another very special thing about the Dark Release element is the tattoo that comes with it (usually on the palm), this seal can absorb elements like Lightning, Fire and Wind easily, Earth and Water may be a problem because they are very dense (Earth being much harder to absorb that water).
When Dark Release is released it is strong against just Fire and Wind (or other tangible elements that aren't very dense), it is weak to Earth and Water again, but earth doesn't gain a bonus strength (other solid/dense elements too)

I've wanted Dark release for a while, the reason I didn't have it earlier is because I had crappy confidence and didn't like or want to ask mods for permission because I (don't laugh) was kinda scared of getting raged upon if they were busy <.<'' Yeah it's a cool element though and is very powerful being able to counter some elements simply by absorbing them and then turning them into more powerful attacks.

0. Meiton is a KG in which the user acts almost as an Organic Fuuinjutsu of sorts, absorbing and releasing physical and spiritual energies (chakra). Because it works, in a sense, like a Fuuinjutsu, the absorbed chakra doesn't actually enter the users Chakra Circulatory System (like what happens with the Rinnegan's absorption abilities) but its kept in the KG mark, as if stored in a separate space within the body. One can say the squares (upper and lower) are much like portals to the sealing space but the sealing space has no connection with the user's chakra. Because of this, the user has little control over the form he can release said chakra. As he releases it, it manifests in a raw energy form rather than a specific elemental one.

But when release your opponents technique, if your opponent blocks using any of the following; The four obvious ones; Fire, Lighting, Wind and Raw chakra along side these more uncommon ones; Sand, Rain, Steam or Boil you will have the upper hand, since dark just eats right though energy based chakra.

While Dark isn't strong against Water and Earth since they are both matter elements and, lets be real you can't absorb something that is matter, just doesn't work like that. Earth suffers double strength towards the absorbing ability of Dark Release (meaning that only an S-Rank Dark release can absorb a B-Rank Earth technique)

And again when release your opponents technique. If your opponent blocks using any of the following; The two obvious ones Earth and Water as well as; Solid Ice, Steel, Wood or Lava. They will overpower your dark as they are matter based.

The reason I like dark release, it gives you the chance to absorb your opponent attack and redirect it stronger.

I nod to my sensei and hold up my right hand, the palm facing upwards and I begin focusing and gathering ordinary raw chakra, which I then mold and because of my kekkei genkei it allows me to mold both fire and lightning chakras; the flaming hot red fire and the glowing fast bright lightning that come together in my hand, I keep focusing more chakra into my hand so that I can stabilize the elements so that they stay active within my hand, ready for my next instruction to probably make it into Dark chakra ._.

How you would use it in battle:
I probably wouldn't use this much in battle, only when I'm becoming low on chakra points and am trying to conserve it. I may even use it to break B-Rank Wind and Fire defenses/offenses, it would annoy the opponent probably ._.

How you would counter it:
I would probably counter it with a high rank Wind, knowing me I'd be annoying and do it just to taunt le opponent to making more powerful moves xD
But if I was not being a douche I'd use earth defenses since I prefer it over water.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
I Gather both my fire and lightning chakras to my hand, I mold them together to create the element of Dark, an element that I have special access to because of my blood. I then extend my hand outwards towards you clone and release this chakra from my hand, manipulating it into a purple wave that hits the clone's chest and knocks it away from me, the clone sustains damage so poofs into a cloud of smoke.

• 1. Probably slower to release than the other, but not that much.
• 2. Like the other one I don't see any for the simplicity, I'd probably use this one more than the other.

How you would use it in battle:
A nice simple attack for threatening multiple targets, a nice clone killer technique if used correctly you got to use it so that they are concentrating on something else, this technique is nice to use for that because it' a low rank and it'd be quite annoying your clones got owned by such a low rank! mwuahahah

How you would counter it:
I'd probably counter it with a stronger technique of water and earth so that I can counter the opponent nicely, a little distraction for them more or less so I can plan my next move u-u. Quite simple to counter.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
I Gather up my chakra and mold it into this new powerful Dark Chakra that requires aspect of fire and lightning. I Manipulate this Dark chakra and hold my hand out in the direction of the clone and release by waving my arm downwards the purple attack flies forward, stretching out as a large wave and covering a nice area. The wave then reached the long range and hits the clone back with some force and it poofs into a cloud of smoke from the damage.

Okay with this one, I want you to gather a decent amount of meiton chakra in both your hands, then I want you to use shape manipulation on the chakra to focus it down to a shock that you will then proceed to form the shock wave outwards in front of you, my clone will be short range from you, sending this towards my clone at short range will cause tremendous internal damage, so this technique is best for short range.

Okay with this one, I want you to gather a decent amount of meiton chakra in both your hands, then I want you to use shape manipulation on the chakra to focus it down to a shock that you will then proceed to form the shock wave outwards in front of you, my clone will be short range from you, sending this towards my clone at short range will cause tremendous internal damage, so this technique is best for short range.

• 1. Very useful at close range, causing damage internally
• 2. Good range u-u
• 3. Surprised there have been no handseals yet.

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. the internal damage aint so strong further away
• 2. Too be honest it'd be better if it was high rank, dat internal damage

definitely in short range, I want my opponent to feel dat internal damage, off guard too ~MWUAHAHAHAHA

To counter it, I think earth would be best, it's quite simple to counter with a wall, actually maybe even water where you create wave and ride it would be fun to counter with.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
I gather my chakra and mold it into lightning and fire, turning it into the dark chakra that I am capable of creating and channel it into both of my hands, storing a decent amount of it there, I raise them and release the focused manipulated shockwave that flies towards the clone that is clone to me, it hits him and makes it poof into a cloud because of the internal damage caused at close range.

So; pretty much get into touching distance of my clone, place your hand on him [hand that has the two diamond marks on it] doing that should allow you to absorb up to 40 points of chakra while remaining touching him. This chakra absorbed can be used as a medium towards other dark release techniques like Judgement.

I would obviously get into close combat and use palm strikes and as I strike with my palm I absorb chakra using the seal when I make contact u-u

Don't get close to a dark user! you could always punch them afterwards or something since it doesn't harm you, you could give em a nice smack around the chocks for sucking you ._.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
I gather up my chakra and focus on the diamond on my hand, the chakra channels through my body and molds, manipulating into my hand and activating the dark seal and I place my left palm on my sensei's clone and the seal pulls in nearby chakra from the opponents body and is taken into the seal and stored so that it can be used for Dark Techniques later on.

• 2. It's quite quick and there are no handseals needed
• 3. Looks cool, makes you a Tank

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. No effect on earth, guess we can't be too greedy
• 2. after absorbing one technique, I feel the Earth and Water spam coming on.
• 3.

How you would use it in battle:
I would use it the most when I think I'm in trouble, absorbing techniques is an easy way to get rid of one, I may even use it at the start of battle so that I have absorbed a technique ready so I can use it later on, plus it looks cool.

How you would counter it:
You can't counter it, just try not to use too many absorbable techniques against a dark user, earth is the best way to do it.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
I gather my Dark chakra and focus it, channeling it into the palm of my left hand where I fuel the Dark seal on it, it glows wildly and I lift it upwards towards the oncoming fireball. The seal keeps glowing and the fireball seems to be drawn to it, losing it's shape and is pulled into the upper diamond and keeps being pulled in until it becomes noting, the seal absorbs the technique's spiritual energy fully and is then turned into my own dark chakra and is now fuel for a technique I may want to use later on.

Okay; now I want you to convert the chakra that your absorbed though your upper diamond into dark chakra and you will release though your bottom diamond the converted chakra should come out as blue flames that amplified, I want you to send the flames towards my clone who is at mid-range.

How you would use it in battle:
I'd probably save it for later, but it is pretty cool looking to use it straight after absorbing it, for example :

"Fire (or Lightning or Wind)? WRONG ANSWER *****."

How you would counter it:
since it is fire, i would probably use water because it is fire looking and I don't want to metagame cause it's dark ermahgerd D:

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
Now that I have absorbed this technique, It is converted with my control into Dark chakra, I then point my left hand towards my clone and the lower diamond glows purple. From this diamond then expels a blue flame furiously from his hand, spreading over the battlefield more powerful than the absorbed attack and so it easily blows the clone away, making it disperse into smoke.

(Meiton: Meifu no Iriguchi) Dark Release: Netherworld Gates
Type: Defensive
Rank: A-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 30

Description:
The user will spread his arms to the sides and point his palms outwards, activating his absorption squares in both his hand markings. As he does, a radial vortex-like effect is creating towards each hand. By doing this, the user is able to defend from attacks (following the elemental weaknesses and strengths of the KG) that are thrown at him from all directions, as the vortexes will direct them to the markings. However, if the user fails to keep both arms and markings perfectly opposed to each other, the vortexes will become unstable and fail.

With this one, it uses both hands, and it seems to give you to sets of absorption squares; so with this one I want you to spread your arms to the sides and point them outwards doing that should allow you to create to medium sized vortex things, these vortexes will defend attacks that go by the elemental weaknesses and strengths, these vortexes can protect you from all directions. The only major downside is, if you fail to keep both your arms perfectly opposed from each other otherwise the vortexes fail.
