Darkened Heart

[Ryóma]

In this silent realm
Shadows in every corner
Light dares not beam
Just another foreigner

Turmoil and confusion
Eating away my soul
My heart contains a deep hole
Is my life just an illusion?

Closed are the curtains
Which once allowed light through
My breathing slowly lessens
Then my heart skips a few

I can see it now
I grasp hold of this little light
Before it leaves my sight
And I silently make a vow
