Dark
In the depths of my dark world, quiet and unlit,
A small but bright light stands alone,
I want to embrace it, but the devil stands before it,
So I turn back, knowing that either way, I am despair prone.
If there was any way to escape this place,
I would’ve grabbed at the chance that they call hope,
But I may as well be trapped in deep space,
Because there is nobody that can rescue me in the globe.
All the broken promises and hidden malice,
All the fake trust and painful love,
Sent me spiraling into this mile-long crevasse,
To cry and weep like some mourning dove.
My body may be here on earth,
But my heart is lost forever,
To a place where sorrow and pain is all that’s given birth,
Where all bonds, all connections, severed.
I never wanted to feel this way,
But the world just has it in it for me,
And so I always rue the day,
I walked into the world freely.
In the depths of my dark world, quiet and unlit,
A small but bright light stands alone,
I want to embrace it, but the devil stands before it,
So I turn back, knowing that either way, I am despair prone.
If there was any way to escape this place,

But I may as well be trapped in deep space,
