Even this diehard Marvel fan knows that even though Iron Man 3 was an instant classic....
.....that Batman The Dark Knight Rises was just better.
It's probably because Batman's back is up against the wall as far as the citizens of Gotham are concerned. He has to gain there trust all over again.

Iron Man 3 is much better. Too many whiny fanboys are complaining about the Mandarin twist in the middle and letting that ruin the entire movie for them when it actually in the context of the movie- totally works.
Dark Knight Rises is my favourite of the Nolan Batman films but even that is only any good because of how hilarious and awesome Bane is.

Pretty sure they weren't happy because the movie made Stark's archenemy look nothing like in the comics.
Apparently, the producers were uncomfortable with using parts of his essence/history, defeating the purpose of using him.
Now, I don't read Marvel comics... but come on! They disregarded who the Mandarin is.

Okay guys I saw Iron Man 3. I would say DKR beats Iron man 3 easily. I feel almost robbed when I was done watching the film, what was I thinking comparing the two. I would say Iron man 2 beats Iron man 3 even, what a dumb hyped up movie.

In the context of the movie though, it totally works. Even if you don't enjoy the joke and get offended by the twist it still doesn't ruin the entire movie -.-
You still get the epic final fight, the threat of the Mandarin, everything.
Also Mandarin really isn't that great anyway- Iron Man has mostly awful villains.

DKR was an epic movie long too. Was a nice conclusion to the trilogy
IM3 sucked imo. dont get me wrong the 3D effects were awesome, I'm not butt hurt like other marvel fan boys about the Mandarin twist. But i was expecting more from Marvel since this is part of the Avengers saga
Iron mans best villians are other marvel heroes.
all in all I will say DKR >>>> IM3 dark knight trilogy > Iron Man trilogy

In the context of a movie, anything can work.
It's like imagining that the man Batman pursues for most of his heroic career (Joker) turns about to be an actor.
So, for that entire duration, the movie makes the comics out to be nothing more than a waist of time.

but this film had another villain, and that reveal totally links in with him as his smart cover-up and as a result it really works but yeah, different takes I guess. I loved the movie, maybe even better than the Avengers for me.
