Does anyone else agree Dark Knight Rises is kinda overrated?
I just saw it, and I was disappointed, to be honest.
I couldn't understand Bane half the time. If he spoke quickly there was no way I could understand him, but I could when he gave speeches and stuff. However, Bane was very cool nonetheless. I loved his accent.
The Talia Al Ghoul plot twist was not interesting. She was a character that didn't matter, only to become the main villain for the last 15-20 minutes. Her acting during her death was just awful. She was acting fine until then. Doctor Crane being the judge was a better twist than her :/
I was really hoping one important protagonist died. Gordon, Fox, Alfred, anyone. And then it looks like Batman died at the end, which would have been awesome. The death of a hero. His final defining act of sacrificing himself to save the city he loved....
Nope, he jumped out his ridiculous bat-copter, wearing military armor, and swam back to shore. And then married Cat Woman. Another character that wasn't too interesting.
I really only liked it for Bane, he was great. His fight scenes were very, very good. So was the football scene. Only complaint was his voice. Not his accent, just difficulty understanding his voice. And Dr. Crane making a small appearance. Ras Al Ghoul coming back for a few seconds was pretty cool as well.
I give it a 5 out of ten. Dark Knight, imo, was much better. Maybe a 6 or 7, but still it was not as good as everyone says.
