It makes a lot of sense. Danzo is in the village while "Tobi" is out dealing with Akatsuki. Whenever Tobi is attacked people go right through him, because he's really back in the village, not actually there. It could be an advanced use of sharingan that hasn't yet been explained. You can't count out new powers and abilities in this series. And the filler theory just seems like character development to me. Most good manga try to develop their characters fully.

danzo and madaras sharingan are both on the right side of their head look at the pictures of madara and danzo. madaras hole on his mask is on the right side i think you got confused because the picture is facing you (when someone's facing u ur left is their right and your right is their left) that's why you thought it was on the left side.

Ok im like reading the first page here and the second to last entry cant be true about obitos left eye in danzos right eye im no doctor but i will be and human eyes are built so they look straight but they are at an angle so they kinda point in wards its really hard to tell but they are. so if a left eye was in the right eye socket it would point outwards ever so slightly but you would see it :naruto:
wat i meant was that if danzo,the 3rd,and the 2 elders were responsible for giving itachi the mission to kill his family..right...well wat if danzo had plans on taking a sharingan from a near dying uchiha member that itachi attacked

Dood Danzou's right eye has the sharingan and same as Tobi his eye is also on the right LOOK AT THE PIC CAREFULLY AND HELL NO IS NOT HIS LITTLE BROTHER, his brother is dead and is missing both of his eye god dam it, people READ THE MANGA, its people like u that make up bullshit theory such as Pain is the 4th hokage or Tobi is Obito

I think that there is a definite possibility that Danzo is Tobi. Especially after I found this japanese folk tale about a ninja named Kato Danzo.

Very little are known about the legendary ninja. It is said that Danzo was a master of illusion. For example, a historical document says that he swallowed a bull in front of more than 20 people. But another ninja was seeing it and said "never cheated, he is only riding on the bull's back," then people noticed that it was an illusion.
Today, researchers think his illusion as a type of group-hypnosis. In fact, ninja were studying psychology very well, so it was not strange that very skilled hypnotist were among them.
Historical documents say that Danzo wanted to serve to Uesugi Kenshin . But his art of illusion was so dreadful that Kenshin decided not to hire but to kill him.
Kenshin ordered him to intrude a house, and placed many guardsmen in and around the house. Danzo , however, noticed the deception, and throw his Shinobi Shouzoku (the black costume of ninja) tied with a rope over the hedge into the garden instead of himself. The guardsmen fired arrows to the dummy, then he pull back the rope. They believed that Danzo turned in the air to jump back to the hedge.
After that, he was called Tobi Kato , meaning "flying Kato ."
The story tells that a competent ninja cannot be always loved his master. He was, after all, too competent
After seeing this and knowing that Kishimoto uses actual folk tales to influence his writing this is a good indicator of possible things to come.

I almost forgot about that story, and it makes sooo much sense. That explains why Kakashi and Shino's attacks went right THROUGH Tobi that time they fought. The difference in Tobi and Danzou's personality can be accounted for by this story, seeing how Danzou is the master of illusion. I think all theories for Danzo=Obito should be eliminated by now-- I mean there's plenty evidence to disprove that already.

yeah im new to this site but i totally agree with u. If u compare the end of the last page the new chapter with tobi pulling of the mask it favors Danzo really well. And also there similar hairstyles

the theory that danzo is tobi seems to fit, but i have an alternate idea.
What if Danzo got his sharingan from Tobi/Madara? You ever wonder why you only see 1 sharingan on Tobi/madara? Based on the manga, Madara should have a sharingan in both eyes.
as some of you have asked already, I do believe it is possible to transplant an eye from the left side to the right side on someone else. I am a medical student, so I think I might lend a little credence to this.
One last thing that would make my theory make sense is that it seems that Danzo's Sharingan cannot be deactivated, hence why he covers it up. From the naruto wiki site I found that people who have transplanted sharingans cannot deactivate them (like kakashi and how he covers his up).
I think this theory might make sense. Madara wanted to be in control of the Hidden leaf village, hence why he left when he saw that the Senjuu were trying to boot out the Uchiha. He could gain more control of the hidden leaf through Danzo.

Whatever the reason for Danzo to have a sharingan, Don't you think this is too much sharingan in the manga? Back then only three characters has it. Now, every strong villain has at least one. Who's next to have a sharingan? Oro? Kabuto?

I?m not sure,how he could be danzo, tobi, mizukage and madara at the same time, i thing it ?s to much for one char in story.(but in japanese history shinobi clanchiefs had multiple identity and manga s are offen inspired from the past)

My 1st theory
I think he robbed the eye by the Massacre on uchia and oro was also in hi
s younger time a member of root. That?s can be the reason oro turn to evil cause danzo always want to damage the 3rd and as a teen oro was saru?s favorite shinobi student, nearly like a son to him.
my 2nd theory
While madara and the nine-tailed attack 16 years ago. Danzo was hiding in the dark watching the fight madara against the 4th hokage.
at the and of sealing the nine-tailed, madara looses a lot of his power(remember itachi says he is a shadow f his former own).
at this moment danzo she his chance to absorb the rest of unique founder(like saske did with oro).
my 3rd theory
danzo sharingan has gift or price from madara to danzo for help to conquer back the village.
danzo got his fingers everywere were he can gain power.
