With a once a day Koto usage capacity, he could have brainwashed hundreds of high level shinobi over the years. He should easily have an army of S class ninja. Why didn't this happen?

That's not a plothole...and because it's not what Kishimoto wanted to write.

Because it's difficult to assemble an army of 'S class ninja' in one place? That it was highly inconvenient, and that he was saving it for something else, like for an oppurtunity to become head of the shinobi alliance? Where he would have every ninja from every village under his control. xD

It is never stated how long Danzo had to wait after using koto besides that there is one glaring problem with your plan.

It indeed controls the opponent but, there is an entire village of shinobi would they not think it is odd that so many fateful ninja are suddenly bowing down and taking danzo's orders ?

The entire hyuuga clan is in that village they can readily recognize someone under control and they would of found out eventually and then danzo's plan to take the throne would be nothing but a dream as he would have to fight off the very people he wanted to rule over.

It's a plothole because it left a lot of people scratching their heads wondering why Danzo didn't take this free pass at power. It is a very obvious free pass. That is why it's a plot hole.

So by your logic, plot holes can't exist because anything that any author writes is completely legit logically?

It is not a plot hole

Look up the definition of plot hole

And controlling shinobi will warrant attention and breka out in a fight
His trust inside the village is critical your scenario is counter productive to his plans.

He stated at the summit and again at the battle with Sasuke that he could use it once a day.

Danzo could have easily used it on other ninja that he meets. For example, he could have used it on Kabuto or Oro. He could have easily set up a meeting with Hanzo and just use it on him. What about Itachi? He could have Koto'ed him as well.

All Danzo has to do is take control of bunch of obscenely powerful people, like Tsunade, Jirayia, Oro, Itachi etc and together with root, they can crush the Hyuga clan. Besides, with the Hokage under his control, can easily label the Hyuga as traitors and have them eliminated.

Plot does not allow that.

Hanzo is dead and that was some time ago.
And like i said having people under his control does draw attention and exiling the hyuuga and branding them as traitors for what exactly ?

He had a plan and using koto to start an uprising makes little to no sense as he would have to spend his days controlling people all the time and if the hyuuga under ever did find out then the whole plan (Which is horrible from the start) would fall apart.

Look here, illogical actions are plotholes.

Danzo was very intellegent and careful. Therefore it is illogical for him not to take an obvious path to the success of his plans. It is a contradiction with his character.

@ lonely uchiha, Madara didn't spam the meteor jutsu because he is cocky and views the world as only entertainment. He tones down quite a bit just so he can enjoy a fight. That is Madara's character. Danzo is different.

What about in The Dark Knight when the Joker burned all that money? It's not a plothole because he's crazy. It's in character.

Danzo squandering his chances is not within his character so we have a plothole.

It's not a plot hole because we don't kno For sure he hasn't been using it at his convenience the whole time. Only somebody who fought shishui uchiha would recognize his chakara signature.

Not a plot-hole.

By doing what he did, it shows us Danzo's character.

Many people underestimate mind control. It easily is one of the greatest powers imaginable.

That he's a moron?

Look, if you have a genie, and you can have any wish whatsoever, you can wish one thing, or you can wish for infinite wishes. If you didn't see the second one, then it's illogical. If this happened in a story, that would be a plot hole. That's why in DBZ, the author made it very clear the restrictions the dragon balls had. If he didn't, then we would have plotholes everywhere.

Well, had he used it on Itachi, he could have had Itachi come back and slay the Hyuga. Itachi has proven to be a good clan slayer.

He could have also used it on other Kages by setting up summits and stuff. Just have them invade and take out the Hyuga. Oro took control of the sand and he didn't even have Koto. Had Danzo controlled Oro, he could have made Oro concentrate the sand villiages attack at the hyuga.

There are lots of ways to deal with the Hyuga situation.

No, that he's nefarious and selfish.

Many people see him as the neutral or "the shade of grey" but it's those who miss the important details like Danzo stealing Shisui's eyes and brutally having the Uchiha massacred which makes us realise his intentions clearly.

here let me help you out.

A plot hole is made when 2 things contradict each other. An example of what would be a plot hole, would be if say the third hokage said "minato the 4th hokage is narutos dad" then later said" minato the 4th hokage is not narutos dad"

Its like saying "north on my compass points to the north pole" then saying "north on my compass points to the south pole"

It cant point to both, because i only have one north on my compass, and it cannot change, due to physics of how it works. Thus it becomes a paradox, and "breaks" the physics(as it is impossible to be both, or to change)

It is when a direct contradiction in the manga creates a hole in the plot. Why danzo didnt use ka daily, does not contradict anything in the plot. Naruto doesnt have that many plot holes(ie contradictiary things) it has many things that are not explained, but few things that contradict each other.
