i dunno..i dont really go on that forums..mostly on narutobase and narutofan nor fanatic..we had the same idea but in a different way of explaining it

maybe thats because our sources is the same..every mythology that we came up goes from the basis of wikipedia..thats the source of Tobi Kato..and i even speculated and put up some details about the costume tobi wearing at his first appearance in the naruto world

Danzo
While i was researching various ninjas i came upon some very interesting info, on a legendary Ninja named Danzo.
Most of us know that kishimoto uses alot of japanese mythology and folktales in his creating of characters in Naruto. such as the creation of Jiraya, tsunade and Orachimaru, they came from the japanese folktale Jiraiya Goketsu Monogatari

Kato Danzo

Very little are known about the legendary ninja. It is said that Danzo was a master of illusion. For example, a historical document says that he swallowed a bull in front of more than 20 people. But another ninja was seeing it and said "never cheated, he is only riding on the bull's back," then people noticed that it was an illusion.
Today, researchers think his illusion as a type of group-hypnosis. In fact, ninja were studying psychology very well, so it was not strange that very skilled hypnotist were among them.
Historical documents say that Danzo wanted to serve to Uesugi Kenshin . But his art of illusion was so dreadful that Kenshin decided not to hire but to kill him.
Kenshin ordered him to intrude a house, and placed many guardsmen in and around the house. Danzo , however, noticed the deception, and throw his Shinobi Shouzoku (the black costume of ninja) tied with a rope over the hedge into the garden instead of himself. The guardsmen fired arrows to the dummy, then he pull back the rope. They believed that Danzo turned in the air to jump back to the hedge.
After that, he was called Tobi Kato , meaning "flying Kato ."
The story tells that a competent ninja cannot be always loved his master. He was, after all, too competent

My deduction of this leads me to believe that kishimoto is using the mythical Danzo as the basis for Danzo in Naruto.
Danzo is possibly highly skilled in genjustu
But my main point of all this is that Tobi is in fact Danzo, i believe the evidence speaks for itself, Danzo his true name, then being named Tobi is factual evidence kishimoto, is planning to make Tobi, Danzo.
Also in the myth it refers to the black costume ninja, the first time we see Tobi he is dressed up in all black (ch280 the last page)and it is not the akatsuki cloak.
Also the fact that Tobi was introduced ch 280, and Danzo ch 281 might hold some significance that they have a correlation that Kishimoto has come up with. SInce they are introduced basically at the same time.

notice the eye that tobi has is different then Danzos, shear coincidence that the bandage part is tobis eye; could their be something under the bandages?

*As a support for danzo and the black costume ninja connecting to tobi..the first intruduction to tobi was that tobi is wearing a black ninja suit..right?

Mind if I add a few points to your theory?

1. Danzou has his own ANBU Root... Madara and Itachi deceived ANBU when killing the Uchiha Clan...

2. Uchiha denounced their loyalty to Madara... Danzou is making brainwashed ninja (Sai), possibly to avoid the same thing from happening.

3. Madara controlled the 9-Tails, and used it as his weapon... Danzou wants Naruto to remain out of Konoha, and away from Pain. If you are correct, maybe Danzou/Madara wants the 9-tails for himself, and doesn't want Pain to get him.

He is later seen followed by ANBU agents, on Tsunade's orders, when he is to be briefed by a spy of his, from Amegakure. He is then aprehended alongside his spy, by the ANBU agents and is questioned by Tsunade, due to his late mysterious actions. However, the interegation is later interrupted by Sora, who was found eavesdropping.

in a chapter (forgot wich) a person, talks to pein, but is speaking while hiding in the shadows, maybe is danzou, tricking pein, so he can think that is amdara, or danzou is madara. but that is stupid, why did he ordered pein to go after naruto and then, kill the frog, so naruto can't back to konoha? ...

Kisame's revelation of Madara being Mizukage offers more support to this theory as Danzo's Root is said to use extremely similar methods to Kirigakure earlier on, the education that led to the village being referred to as the Village in the Bloody Mist. Heck parts of body in danzo has similarities to tobi too..The Hair..The Wrinkles..The bandage covering the eye of danzo is the eye that the mask of tobi focuses on.

The Second One..
*We might be seeing the 2 Original Brothers Of Mangekyou..Tobi being uchiha madara and Danzo is izuna madara..thats why danzo has a bandage in his eye is because thats the part where uchiha madara plucked his eye out to gain ems. and if people are questioning if why tobi is more younger than danzou..maybe its because of the ems maybe.

Interesting theory.

But about Tobi being Danzou, how can he be Tobi and Danzou at the same time, if Danzou has never been missing from Konoha while the action among the Akatsuki and the Hawk took place?

As far as I remember, the ways thing happned, what comes next has been happening at about the same time, it took long in the manga but it must have been between 15 days and two months in real time:

* Team Kakashi heads back to Konoha after meeting Sasuke
* Sasuke fights Itachi - Madara speaks to Sasuke (on the same day Itachi dies)
* Sai asks Danzou to remain with Team 7! So Danzou is in Konoha as Tobi/Madara is speaking to Sasuke.
* Pain leaves for Konoha - Hawk look for Killerbee
* Sasuke hands killerbee over to Tobi and says he's heading for Konoha.
* Pain arrives to Konoha, Tsunade asks communication toad to go, and Danzou kills the toad. Meanwhile, MAdara is complaining as it seems Sasuke made a mistake with the 8-tails.


About the eyes: the manga shows Madara has taken both eyes from his brother. Unless DAnzou was another Uchiha who tried to exchange only one eye with a brother of his so that both of them could gain EMS in one eye, he does not have it.
