actually had they killed madara they wouldn't have been able to get the treaty with the uchiha. everything hinged on that alliance. had they killed him, there would have been no village system. the world would have still been in the perpetual war of their time. sure madara turned out to be a truly bad seed in the end, but that not on hashi. remember he tried to rectify that by killing him later. had it ot been for the super get out of jail free card, izanagi, madara would be dead and none of this would have happened.

Couldn't we have all just got along? Just forget our differences and live a happy life together? But even if they did get along something bad would happen eventually. If only BZ wasn't causing the evil in uchiha. (Then again if BZ wasn't there.. who knows if Madara or any other uchiha would exist and instead be someone totally different?)
