Aaron Arias, 19 and Jamal Harris, 17 were driving on Highway 175 from Dallas to Kaufman two weeks ago when they noticed a blonde woman in the back seat of a nearby car.

The 25-year-old woman had allegedly been forced into the car at gunpoint by Charles Atkins Lewis Jr, 25, as she left an office party in downtown Texas. An hour later, she was spotted by the two teenagers, who noticed her plea for help.

Mr Arias is heard in the 911 audio telling the operator that he is witnessing a kidnapping.

"Yes, I'm on the highway. I'm witnessing a robbery; not a robbery -- a kidnapping," he says.

"It's me and another guy, so we're checking out the girl in the backseat (of a silver Lexus) because, we're like, 'OK, she's kind of attractive, and then, all of the sudden, you know, the guy is turned back, looking at us.“

We looked in the backseat and the blonde female in the back was saying “help me” or something, whispering it, so I’m assuming it’s a kidnapping."

They tailed the vehicle until police arrived at the scene and pulled the car over.Police allegedly found a gun and a knife in the vehicle when they arrested Lewis and charged him with aggravated kidnapping.

He is being held on $50,000 bail.Mr Arias told NBC News the alleged victim hugged him and his friend when she met them. "I would describe it as the best hug I have ever gotten," he said.
