Out the corner of her eye, Sloan saw the emotionally defeated Lilith exit the premises. Although Sloan could be a cold person, she was not heartless… She tried to ignore the situation and focused on her codex but alas, she could not get over the fact that she perhaps hurt Lilith on a deep level… She sighed and the codex and ball vanished and Sloan trailed Lilith to her destination. She found the creature there, sad and… Sad… Sighing again, Sloan knelt down beside Lilith, and patted her back although very nervously and reserved as she had really never had to emotionally support another being. She did what they did in the movies, she guessed… “… There… There… Cheer up. No reason to cry over spilt milk…” Sloan said at an attempt to get Lilith to stop crying. Her every word copy and pasted from something else she saw or heard, perhaps read in a book… But that’s kind of all she knew… Hopefully it was sufficient enough to make Lilith not be as sad as she was… Which appeared to be… Extremely sad… She was a sensitive one, it seemed… Like a magic trick, Sloan waved her hand in the air and tiny yellow butterflies made of energy flew near Lilith’s face, each one wiping a tear from her face before dissipating. This would probably tickle Lilith, if not amaze her, which was Sloan’s goal.
Awiee xD

Lilith's plan to lure Blue out in the open succeeded, in reality she was indeed sad to produce real tears but she overplayed it intentionally to see how the new one would react as her normal charm had obviously failed. As she lied on the ground she heard Blue approach her and kept still to see how she would react. A soft and warm hand then stroke her back as Blue tried to cuddle her. Lilith started to almost purr like a cat.

Nyaahh. It tickles Aoi-chaaan!!

She opened her eyes and infront of them were butterflies made out of the same energy that she had used earlier. The skill she had was astonishing in terms of manipulation. Lilith reached out her hand to grab the butterfly cautiously as she didn't know what'd happen if she touched it. After a few seconds she got up in a sitting position and attempted to hug Blue followed up with a chuckle. With her soft voice she said.

You're amazing.

Sloan had no idea how to handle such a reaction but she took the sneaky hug in stride, lightly tapping Lilith's back in a reserved manner just with one hand. At this point, ti was more clear that Sloan lacked some social skills as opposed to just being flat out mean. The butterflies, of course, did not harm Lilith when she touched, but felt like soft, fuzzy vibrations. And as she touched them, they would dissipate in a beautiful volley of energy molecules.

Lilith happened to call Sloan "amazing", to which she replied: "Thanks... Aha.." she also thought she owed Lilith an explanation on her name... "My name is Sloan... But still, call me Blue." she said bluntly. She wasn't quite sure why Lilith was so amazed by her but better amazed than disgusted, she assumed. Matter of fact, this must be the character Ryoko mentioned she got along so well with... It makes sense now. Sloan could see how the two would mix...

The two gals really seemed to have finally found eachother. Lilith was now convinced she had found a new sister and did not want to let go from the hug at first but she knew she couldn't keep holding on to Blue forever. Then it came, she revealed her name.

Sloan.. Sugoi.. Anoo, if you want me to use Blue i will continue to do so. And i meant it, i think you are.

She got up from the ground.

Say, now that you're part of our family do you need any help moving in?

She grabbed a few boxes.

Spawning Baiken in clan HQ

Baiken waits patiently in the keep for some company. She was eager to meet the rest of the organization but had a very serious mind-opening mission or two to accomplish… Which were beyond words a human could grasp. She didn’t know if she would return from this set of mentally breaking tasks, so she preferred to say her goodbyes now, even to the ones she had not met. She was specifically waiting for Lilith…

Being a ronin, she had to stay focused and in tune with the spiritual… Very in tune. She sat in an empty room of the Keep and meditated until further notice…

Starting my custom mission (5)

No one showed up for Baiken's going away party, which was fine. She did not want one anyway. So she got up and left to go on her spiritual journey to unlock her mind and spirit's full potential. It was time... To prepare for the oncoming times and to unlock Baiken's next level in her chapter.

Exiting Dainashi to go somewhere else.

Storyboard elements:
Gather resources from the land
Player:
Tobimaru Aoi
Mission: D-rank

..
As the morning purple light eats away the darkness of the night on the barren surface of the Lightning Mountains, Tobimaru sets out with the intent of finding food. The cold, desolate mountains of Dainashi were always a difficult place to forage or hunt but, fortunately, Tobimaru is all too well familiar with this environment.

He keeps a steady pace as he advances toward the evergreen trees that form a rather sparse forest. His intention is to pick the yellow berries that grow in the middle section of the conical-shaped trees. However, this tall tree that evolved over years to gather as little snow on its slender, thin body keeps its fruits safely surrounded by many needles sharp as razor blades. When Tobimaru finally reaches one of the trees and spots the golden berries in its center, he instantly waves hand seals performing a wind technique that whistles through the tree forcing the berries along with many needles to fall to the ground.

Type: Supplementary/Offensive/Defensive
Rank: D
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20
Description: The user will release basic simple blasts or streams of wind from his limbs or mouth to defend or attack an enemy.

All that is left for Tobimaru is to carefully pick the berries in his small pouch made of cotton. When finished, he swiftly moves towards the stream to fill his flasks with fresh water. While there, he does not miss the opportunity to pick the lichen that forms on the stones surrounding the water. He then makes a brief pause, staring at the murky yet brilliantly light sky. The day has already started.

The peaceful moment is suddenly interrupted by a shriek of a snow owl as it flaps its beautiful wings slicing through the air softly and silently. Tobimaru's eyes follow the owl's body for just a second. He then quickly wraps a pile of brownish lichen in a frayed cloth and stashes it safely inside his yukata. Tobimaru is on the move again. He has no problem maintaining the speed required to follow the owl. Although the plan was to follow the hunter to the prey, Tobimaru instantly changes his plans as the owl lands in a nest among branches of a tall tree. At this time of year, owls can produce from 4 to 8 eggs and they make for a tasty meal that Tobimaru would rather not miss. He can only spot one owl in the nest but as he silently approaches the tree he is cautious. He knows that snow owls mate for life and that the mother lays on the eggs while the father feeds her and protects her. Stealing eggs from snow owls may seem like an easy task but those long talons and strong beaks are no joke.

Tobimaru sits and waits; He waits for the male to leave again. And when it finally flies in the air again, Tobimaru makes no moves as his eyes follow the owl. He first makes sure that the male is far enough. He then starts his climb. Tobimaru never learned basic ninjutsu so he has to rely on his strength and technique of climbing to reach the nest. As he predicted, the mother owl is on the eggs. Wasting no time, waiting for no reaction from the female owl, Tobimaru shoves his hand under her taking her first egg. At this point, the bird is up, raising her wonderful white wings and reaching with her talons toward Tobimaru. But Tobimaru is ready, he already let go of the first eggs and he waves hand seals performing the wind technique blasting the mother bird to the side.

Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20
Description: User creates a wall of spinning wind in front of him that is used to push back weapons thrown towards him. It can also be used against taijutsu close range attacks, but the wall can be pushed back with a stronger wind jutsu or if a smoke bomb or explosive tag touches the spinning wind they will automatically get activated because of the sharpness of the wind element, damaging the user also.

Tobimaru does not feel even an ounce of guilt as he stashes all 5 eggs in his yukata and jumps to the ground. As he runs away, he thinks of an omelet he will soon make and it is as if his brain does not even detect the screeches of a bird in the distance anymore. When far enough from the nest, he pauses to catch his breath. He is pleased with himself and it shows on his face. He takes one of the eggs from his yukata staring at it for a while. They are shiny and white, like precious pearls. He then realizes that he still feels the warmth of it on his skin. The warmth that is created by the mother of the egg. Tobimaru quickly turns around in the direction he just came. His gaze is full of yearning, sad, and horrible. He breaks the egg in his hand and as its contents run through his fingers, Tobimaru moves again. In a swift movement, almost as if he is performing chiburui he shakes off the contents of the egg on his hand.

Now, he will eat.

Lilith's path had taken her from the rough mountains that had carved a narrow path of ice and snow towards Dainashi. The only light in her surroundings was the fading heat of her last cigarette. It was a final breath away from being extinguished, she would inhale a maximum effort to try and absorb all of the heat into her body before it was lights out. Regardless, she was close now, so close to the bellows of the mountain, The Crimson Keep. The harsh winds also forced her on the ground where her feet wich would become cold. On her back, the radiating sword of liquid metal was now the only thing creating heat for miles besides herself. She looked up towards the mountain that surely was a familiar sight, she nodded to herself proclaiming that she had made it home. However, it wasn't the only thing she saw. A shadow of a person moved slowly over the path. The winds starts to diminish and Lilith flaps her wings to fly in great speeds towards the individual, keeping a curious rather than a hostile tone over the situation. She then got into mid-range of the man, a grey-haired man with some baggy outfit. She hesitated but finally decided to speak as she had the mans back infront of her, without him knowing of her whereabouts.

..Anoo, are you okay?

Her ruby eyes looked towards the man's back as she spoke to him. Her tail wiggled slightly, awaiting his reaction and of the realization that she had somehow found a spare cig in her pocket that she quickly lit.

It's already noon. The veil of mist fell on the mountains and with it came soft, large snowflakes that looked almost like petals. Tobimaru has smelled a storm in the air and was now on his way to his hideout. However, he could barely see anything around him and he was moving just based on his instincts hoping that they would not betray him this time. It was at this moment that he heard something behind him. He violently turned around to see a person's silhouette in the haziness of mist.
Even on the best of occasions, Tobimaru keeps his guards up around anyone that he meets. He has poor social skills that make him appear unapproachable and crude and he does not even try to pretend that he is comfortable with other people around him. After all, Dainashi was such a great home for Tobimaru because he barely ever met other people, and even when he did it was on his initiative that the meetings occurred. And yet, at this very moment, in this hostile environment that would soon turn even more dangerous, there was a person that talked to him.
He cautiously made the first step, squinting in an attempt to better see the person in front of him.
Hello?!
As he uttered the word with his raspy, yet somewhat sweet voice, his right hand reached for a tanto sword on his back. Like a feral animal, he was ready to attack.

Lilith giggled at the young man's big effort trying to reveal her position. She noticed how he went for his weapon and decided to de-escalate the situation. Although, she was quite the brat..

Hihi, Over here baaakaayaroo!!
She waved her hands in the air trying to signal to the man where she was while at the same time signal to him that she carried no weapons in her hands which hopefully would make him realize that she indeed meant no harm.

Tobimaru was taken aback by a sudden chuckle coming from the person in front of him. However, the laughter did not make him lower his guard. He took another cautious step forward when he heard the same child-like voice. It sounded reassuring, pleasant, and somewhat playful but in a way, Tobimaru also felt as if he is being insulted.

He took another step forward and now his blue eye finally could make out the features of what did not appear to be fully human. The creature had fluffy cat-like ears on its head and piercing golden eyes but more importantly, although it appeared young and innocent it definitively bore the characteristics of a shinobi. As it waved its hands in the air, Tobimaru noticed the prominent muscles on its limbs and a large sword on its back. There was no mistake, this creature was a trained fighter. Tobimaru was always good at assessing the situation and he knew very well when to attack but also when to remain passive, admit the defeat and leave. This situation called for a later move.

As he removed the hand from the handle of his sword, he bowed politely in front of the person. Despite the meek appearance that he assumed, Tobimaru was just waiting for the situation to change in his favor.

Lilith was keeping her calm as the man infront of her seemed to relax at least a bit more than earlier seeing as he was not going for whatever was behind his back. She tried again to engage in a conversation with the man. She noticed his one eye glowing in the wind while the other one was pale white. She followed his example and approached a step closer, not wanting to proceed too quickly as that might intimidate him.

Anyway, My name is Lilith. These are the lands of my father, Alucard Tepes and the housing of the great sanctum of the Hellsing Organisation. Under this mountain lies the Crimson Keep and i was tasked to oversee this area in my fathers absence. I don't see any harm in your presence though, you seem resonable but not familiar. May i ask of your name?
After the little speech she decided to look towards the familiar mountain in their near presence. The howling bellows of the mountain temped her to leave the conversation and simply head on inside. She was freezing out here..

Tobimaru remained in his place when the creature approached one step closer to him. He carefully listened to its words. Its playful voice now sounded more serious and respectful almost as if the creature was trying to reassure him that it meant no harm. However, Tobimaru was abandoned by shinobi, he lost his sight because of shinobi and he was almost killed by them. His dream of becoming a ninja was long gone and only fear and resentment towards them remained. He did not need friendliness from any shinobi but at the same time, he knew that he would be in an unfavorable position if he would continue showing hostility.

My name is Tobimaru Aoi. Although I have not been born in these lands, they have been my home for many years now.

Tobimaru has heard about Alucard Tepes before. He knew that he was a dangerous man and for him, that was enough. Although he did not care about political dominance in the world he called his home and supported no one but himself, Tobimaru was smart enough to know when to falsely bow in front of a powerful individual.

Thank you for your continuous patronage.

As he uttered those words, there was a slight disgust on his face. Tobimaru did not like saying those words. Not one bit.

Tobimaru.. Aoi?
She had never heard the name before yet this individual had roamed the lands of her Father for several years. Her thoughts where not her own for long as Alucard infiltrated her mind from half the world away, seeing what she saw whenever he tapped into their mental link.

*So, he still lives.. Good, good. I was getting rather, annoyed by his endurance for some time but i guess Tobimaru Aoi has an unnatural stamina that allowed him to carry on and live in the outskirts of the foundations of the Hellsing Organisation. Lilith, you may tell Tobimaru that i will see him soon in person and that he should follow you to the sanctuary. There is an item there that he probably will want to have.* - [Alucard, through his mental link to Lilith]

*Oi, you're interrupting something. This man is lost and we need to take care of him.. He'll freeze to death out here. Besides, you've never told me about a Tobimaru?* - [Lilith, through her mental link to Alucard]

*I may or may not have sort of ditched him years ago.* - [Alucard, through his mental link to Lilith]

*How typical of you..* - [Lilith, through her mental link to Alucard]

*It's called one-night stands for a reason dear. Anyway, Tobimaru and I are the original Hellsing clanmembers although his inaguration wasn't the most decent one soooo.. Could you like, sort out his deal or something while im here?* - [Alucard, through his mental link to Lilith]

*I'll do a better job than you..* - [Lilith, through her mental link to Alucard]

Lilith flickered slightly to her Fathers words. The sudden speech made her almost jump out of her own clothes as it startled her. Geez, she thought to herself. Whatever backstory those two had she was not going to be a part of it. This man could surely use the warmth of the mountain and if he was indeed part of the Hellsing Organisation he had to go there.. Right?

..Gomenasai - i blacked out there for a moment. Father spoke through my mind, seems like you two have some history but the main take of it is that you should know you're part of our Hellsing Organisation and frankly the way Otosan has treated you i can't say i'm surprised you decided to remain out here. I hope i can bury the axe and welcome you to the Crimson Keep once and for all.. I am curious about you Oniisan. Maybe we can talk over a hot beverage down below?
Indeed, it was her way of acknowledging the members of the clan by calling the male members Brothers and the female one's Sisters. Well, she being by far the youngest wolf of them all she called all clanmates older brother/sister..

Please join me in the Crimson Keep, if you don't like it there you're free to leave and continue out here. Here, grab my hand. Let's walk together, you are not alone anymore.
Lilith reached out her right hand which she had removed her glove from. Her eyes and mouth formed a smile which words could not describe, it was a trust and innocence that was absolute.

Tobimaru.. Aoi?
She had never heard the name before yet this individual had roamed the lands of her Father for several years. Her thoughts where not her own for long as Alucard infiltrated her mind from half the world away, seeing what she saw whenever he tapped into their mental link.

*So, he still lives.. Good, good. Tobimaru attentively followed the movements of the creature as his name slid through its plump lips. What followed was utter silence. Tobimaru felt as if the creature's thoughts wandered somewhere. An opportunity, he thought, a chance to escape the situation. As soon as he perked up ready to run, the creature moved suddenly again, almost as if woken up from a dream. The chance was gone.

The speech that followed run through Tobimaru's head like a razor-sharp wind. The history between Tobimaru and Alucard Tepes was nowhere recorded in his memory. He never even met the man. What a preposterous lie this was? Tobimaru, a part of an organization? He was alone all of his life. It was as if someone slapped him in the face with these words. He lowered his head and turned it to the side, visibly upset and angry.

Please stop joking with me!!!

There was sincerity in his shout, but also a mix of sadness and irritation. Despite the ridiculous claims about Alucard Tepes and Hellsing Organization, his outraged reaction was more directed at the broken Japanese word for older brother and the invitation that he just received. The last time Tobimaru received kindness from anyone was almost a decade ago and its presence all but faded from his mind. Plainly put, Tobimaru did not even know what kindness was.

As he raised his head wearing a calm, bored expression, it was obvious that the brief moment of panic was gone. The cordial invitation, the warmth of the creature's hand, and the innocent smile were somehow interpreted as an inevitable future treat in Tobimaru's mind. He denied it immediately.

I am sorry for the sudden outburst, but I do not have a memory of Alucard Tepes or his organization. I believe you might have mistaken me for someone else.

In a composed, respectful manner he answered. There was not even a hint of doubt in his words.

The snowstorm is approaching and I would like to be on my way. I wish you luck in finding the person you are looking for.

Lilith was disappointed with Tobimaru's resolve but things started to clear up a little bit. She had a theory about what had happened between the two but it was pure speculation.

Otosan must've worn the Pendant of the Freehold.. Fujiwara's Last Memory..
She muttered to herself but loud enough for Tobimaru to hear it as well albeit just barely. Either that or from some sort of an accident he had experienced after having met with Otosan. Meanwhile, she also acknowledged a storm brewing from the north. She had too little experience with the harsh conditions of the Lightning Mountains to cope an understanding on the gravity of these type of storms.

... It's just a bit of snow innit? Besides if it's such an issue you're a bakayaro for turning down my offer but, you will have your freedom. You are a part of my family and, i hate to see you chose solitude rather than a warm bed with your family but.. I understand if it's too much for you to take in all of the sudden.
She turned 90 degrees to her left, now facing the slopes of the mountains again.

I say you don't need any advice from me seeing as you've been out here in the wilderness for so long but maybe you should try to use your fire chakra to keep yourself warm. Jaane!
Lilith then turned another 90 degrees facing the mountain in which the Crimson Keep lied.

Spawning in Malenia.

Malenia, treading into a barren, snowy land, eventually found herself at what appeared to be the headquarters of whoever was in charge of Dainashi. Her cloak, fluttering in the wind, the tall, warrior-like lady stopped and stood still, surveying the area around her. She smelled the presence of several individuals, even hearing the words they uttered. She did not want to delve any further as to not raise the suspicion of intrusion. She was not here to fight. At all. However she did expect someone to come greet her, if anyone.

  • Mission start: Explore a dungeon below Dainashi to retrieve a core to power the defenses of a landmark. Chances of receiving core = 1/4 (Going lower and lower until I find the core). (5)
Malenia, although not receiving the welcome she had expected, heard a vibrating sound deep beneath the ground in Dainashi. She could not wait for introductions. The vibration, she assumed was an artifact. Humanity was beginning to find artifacts all over the world so she made it a point to find as many as she could to help humanity where she could. There was no reason this would be any different and even if it wasn't an artifact, it had to be something. So although a bit weird, like a dog, she began to dig, and dig, and dig. That being said, she had claws, and metal plated gloves on top of these, so its not like this would hurt her hands. After all, she was an Inuzuka... It was in her nature.

After digging for about forty-five minutes, she reached an underground cave in which she fell flat on her face in.The cave was obviously inhabited as there were torches lighting the way to all the tunnels in the cave. There were sentient beings here, right now. Malenia delved down one of the paths at random, encountering numerous starving-looking husk of a peoples along the way. She tried telling them hello and asking them questions, but it was as if she was not even there. They seem to either be mind controlled, or simply mindless slaves.

Eventually, she came across a large gate, guarding the likes of Malenia getting past this point. She wrapped some wire around her already guarded and plated fists and started to repeatedly strike the gate, eventually making a hole big enough for her to crouch down and crawl through...

( Testsu Sen Genkotsu ) - Iron Wire Fist
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 40
Description: By wrapping ninja wire around their fists and controlling their breathing the user is able to deliver precise and deadly strikes that are able to knock targets back several meters.

"Interesting." she said quite gleefully. It was like she was in a whole new world. I mean, she was... The vibrating sound got louder and louder, indicating she got closer then she was... She started to search for it...

(Rolling for a chance at finding the core.)

(Failed to find the core.)

After not being able to find the core, Malenia eventually landed upon a hidden-away staircase in which she climbed down... Admittedly, it seemed to have gotten hotter and hotter the deeper she got. Upon entrance, Malenia was attacked by two of the husks but alas though could do nothing to harm her. She simply pushed them down by their head and their body crumbled into what appeared to be dust.

Although she had not found a core yet, she found a unique book appearing to outline the entire mapping of Dainashi and as she opened the book, another map fell out. She picked it up and read it and it revealed to be the map of the very tunnels she was navigating. Although it was very hard to read, it seemed ancient. But she could read it well enough to guess well enough where to go from here. There was also some very... Unique weaponry she found along the way, to say the least.

She found herself in a bit of a secluded room with what appeared to be a demon-like blacksmith. Being a little confused at what he actually was, she believed in being kind to all unless given a reason not to. "Hello." Malenia said with her angelic voice. The blacksmith looked up and then quickly looked back down, returning to his work. "A lady like you shouldn't be down here. Return from which you came." Malenia was not the one to pay attention to negativity so she simply brushed off the man's warning. "An artifact. Its down here. Can you help me find it, please?" Malenia asks politely as she slowly paced towards the blacksmith, wanting to interact with him as a pure being, not a monster...

(1/2 chance at the blacksmith showing his true form and attacking Malenia.)

(The Demon shows his true form and attacks Malenia, go figure.)

As Malenia struts forward, the blacksmith jolted his head up, revealing he was indeed an evil being and growing in size as he also approached Malenia, forcing her to backtrack in shock. She drew her blade and got ready to face the now giant demon blacksmith. Perhaps he was guarding the core... Only one way to find out...
