Daily Workout Routine Thread

This is for more of the athletic members of the base or for those who are trying to get into shape. If you do workout on a daily basis just list your routine, like:

The exercises you do and for how long
Amount of Push ups/Sit ups you do
Do you lift weights and if so how many reps/sets do you do
If you jog please list for how long

....you get the idea.

For about 30 minutes a day. Just Push ups, Arm Curls, Sit ups, and Bench Press.

60 - break - 50 - Break - 40

crunches

i never counted these. just as many as u could do and take a break and so on (3 sets)

Every day or every second or third day.

Cardio is key

I work on my legs for my vertical (basketball)

I do calf raises w/ 50 pound dumbbells each and do 20 reps of 6-7 sets

Cardio for 15-20 min

Work on ball handles, do fire feet and run across the gym while dribbling

Pull ups. 40 reps / 4-5 sets, also the farther reach ones, those are much harder. About 25 reps / 3 sets

For chest, I do push ups. About 50 / 7 sets

Diamond pushups, 30 reps / 5 sets

Bench press 240 / 20, 30 reps / 5 sets

Curl ups

Also do crunches w/ dumbbells, sit ups. About 80 - 90 reps / 5 sets for sit ups & crunches I use 30 pound dumbbells each and do 25-30 reps / 5 sets

I usually go to the gym Mon, Wed, and Fri and workout for about one to one and a half hours.

Monday is chest and shoulder workout where I do bench press, chest press, shoulder press.

Wed is biceps/triceps and back where I do hammer curls, bicep curls, tricep dips, and lat pull down.

Fri is legs where I do dead lifts, and calf raises. I would do squats but my tendinitis inhibits me from doing so.

On average I usually do 2 sets of 10 reps and then 1 more set of 5 reps


For push-ups I do about 100 a day, I space them out throughout the day though where I do 10 normal push-ups and 10 diamond push-ups. I need to get back on sit ups been too lazy lately

For cardio I just play basketball

Midday- Basketball,100m,Football and jogging.

All exercises done for one hour.

Monday
Morning: 60-120s. Sprint for 60 seconds. Walk for 120.
Afternoon: High Weight Low Rep. Bench, Curls, Weighted Pull Ups.

Tuesday
Morning: 30 Push Ups, 15 Burpees, 15 8 Count Push Ups, 15 Up Downs. Repeat for whole hour.
Afternoon: Low Weight High Rep. Kettle Bells, Medicine Ball, Pull Ups. I like to get creative with this.

Wednsday
Morning: 3-5 Mile Run.
Afternoon: Abdominals. 100 Sit Ups without a break, 50 Crunches, 50 Reverse Crunches, 50 Obliques on each side, 50 Flutter Kicks, As many Sit Ups as you can do holding a 35 lbs weight.

Thursday
Morning: The Motivator. Its a pyramid so you start at 20 and work your way down. Jumping Jacks, Half Jacks (Same thing as jumping jacks you just bring your arms up to shoulder level), Hops, Calf Raises.
Afternoon: Swim. 3 Laps of each. Freestyle, Butterfly, Breast Stroke, Back Stroke. 2 Laps each no hands. Dolphin Kick, Frog Kick, Scissor Kick.

Friday
Morning: Soccer or Football.

Can't take credit for this post but the topic brought this to mind. I lol'd enjoy.

EVERY MORNING I WAKE UP AND OPEN PALM SLAM A VHS INTO THE SLOT. IT'S CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK AND RIGHT THEN AND THERE I START DOING THE MOVES ALONGSIDE WITH THE MAIN CHARACTER, RIDDICK. I DO EVERY MOVE AND I DO EVERY MOVE HARD. MAKIN WHOOSHING SOUNDS WHEN I SLAM DOWN SOME NECRO BASTARDS OR EVEN WHEN I MESS UP A TECHNIQUE. NOT MANY CAN SAY THEY ESCAPED THE GALAXYS MOST DANGEROUS PRISON. I CAN. I SAY IT AND I SAY IT OUTLOUD EVERYDAY TO PEOPLE IN MY COLLEGE CLASS AND ALL THEY DO IS PROVE PEOPLE IN COLLEGE CAN STILL BE IMMATURE JERKS AND IVE LEARNED ALL THE LINES AND IVE LEARNED HOW TO MAKE MYSELF AND MY APARTMENT LESS LONELY BY SHOUTING EM ALL. 2 HOURS INCLUDING WIND DOWN EVERY MORNING.

running 70 minutes. 4 times a week.
Kickboxing or fitness 3 times a week.

Pushups. Sets of 60 - break - 80 - break - 80
situp crunches and legs horizontal stiffened. 30 secs - break - 2 mins - break - 30 secs

Usually I jsut go outside and have fun. Flashlight Tag, Football, stuff like that. If I get serious and have no weights with me, I pick a number. Lets say 25.

25 Pushups
25 Situps
20 Pushups
20 Situps
15 Pushups
15 Situps
10 Push ups
10 Sit ups
5 Push ups
5 Sit ups

It gets your blood pumping pretty fast. I don't work on my biceps that much since they do not do a whole lot.
