CyberConnect 2 is just god awful at making games.

Aside from the lack luster experience of the story modes "free roam" and horrible A.I. CyberConnect is showing us how little they listen to fans or even care.For months now we have been discussing bringing the edo kage to the game (Since we found out that they were indeed not on the game's roster from the start)

Now we all thought the first DLC see to come out would change that and we were wrong.Though i thought about it and was like well,maybe that had this in production around the time the game was set to ship so we can't really be mad.(Though why they think costumes would make us more happy then actual characters ill never know lol - Not to mention if that was indeed the case its seems like a really cheap way to seem like their is extra content - I remember a time when all you had to do for a different costume was press down or select when did it become extra content ?) Then came more DLC and with that came disappointment.They have knonw for quite some time at this point that we wanted edo kages(I mean would you not add characters that people want which would raise the people buying & playing your game online ?)


And now we get to the kicker,the reason why this thread exist lol
They released more DLC Horaaay!!!!! What is it you ask ?
Well its the kages!!!!!!!No not edo kages the 5 kages with their kage hats !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I comment very shortly on how costume changes use to be a non priorty and something every game had from the bat but,my point is that the DLC itself is shit lol

The rest are ripoffs, especially the Sakura one that costs 2.99 while the Sannin one with 7 outfits costs .99.

Yeah, I agree. Most companies become obsessed over money now adays.

It's funny, if these companies actually thought (Capcom, Cyber Connect, Bioware...) and just put some form of effort into the DLC and actually gave us what we want instead of shit like this Kage pack (I'd pay top dolla for a pack like my sig.) they would have more people inclined to buy their shitty DLC.

It would be a win situation for them.

I feel like their treating the fans of the series like were 12 years old.
The sanin one is indeed the only one worth it in my opinion too.
I could appreciate the costumes more if it wasn't the only thing we were getting as if it changes up the experience each time a new article of clothing came out.

Like how about idk the characters we been asking for ,for months or some now ninjustu for these characters that way the games life span is increased indefinitely and we actually get a new experience.

People want so much from it, and they just don't make enough money with each game to compensate your needs. Want to change things? Buy the Hello Kitty DLC. Buy another copy of the game. It doesn't matter.

They do like the series.
They are the ones who pioneered the original Ultimate Ninja series and those were arguable the most (character wise) extensive games to date; including characters like Konohamaru's Ninja Squad and Hanabi. Not to mention Kurenai, Shizune, Asuma and many others.

They are good at making games, it's just expensive and they'll make more money if they spread less content out through each game.

They aren't awful, you just don't know how marketing works.

Listening to people and giving them what they want coinciding with what you can give them as long as it makes you profit is what marketing is all about.The storm series now has 4 games out.And they all came out a year or two years from each others.If they were not making money (Which is the reason why sequels come at in the first place - You don't make multiple games that don't make profit -You fail)

Secondly,You don't think it cost money too add these new textures when it could be time better spent adding actual new material too actually boost the longevity of the game(A.K.A Marketing) Then to give people more of the same stuff when you willingly know what they want ? The DLC needs a reference on disc to be added, therefor, all the DLC that will be released, was planned since before the game even launch; so no. They could be spending their time doing something better.

Now, I agree that Storm 3 didn't live up to the hype, at all, and that the choices for DLC were poor. But if they released a game that pleased absolutely ****in' everyone, would there even be a point to make a sequel? No. They didn't put certain characters in this, so they could be hype for 'Generations 2'. Which will also succeed at pissing everyone off.

In other words, why release a .99 DLC pack with Akatsuki Orochimaru and a handful of others, if you could do it in the next game after your consumer shells out another sixty for that game? Because it's all about marketing. lol
