The DLC needs a reference on disc to be added, therefor, all the DLC that will be released, was planned since before the game even launch; so no. They could be spending their time doing something better.

Now, I agree that Storm 3 didn't live up to the hype, at all, and that the choices for DLC were poor. But if they released a game that pleased absolutely ****in' everyone, would there even be a point to make a sequel? No. They didn't put certain characters in this, so they could be hype for 'Generations 2'. Which will also succeed at pissing everyone off.

In other words, why release a .99 DLC pack with Akatsuki Orochimaru and a handful of others, if you could do it in the next game after your consumer shells out another sixty for that game? Because it's all about marketing. lol

I never suggested that the price for the characters have to be that ridiculously low.That is not the point being made.The pricing of the matter is a different subject.Its about actually getting that content and they won't deliver and has made many people upset and that is not good marketing.

If you make a game with a big franchise attached there will always be people willing to buy it but,if that is all your going for if definitely won't max out your profits

That is why i said there treating people like little kids.This particular DLC is poor and is little more then a cash grab..However were not 12 and anime has a wide audience and they still treat it as if only little kids watch it.Also these games are not exactly top tier games or winning at game awards anytime soon so making fans angry is not a way to win more fans over or a way to get older fans coming back.

I mean you can't literally give the people same exact experience especially not in a fighting game.

I came to this thread, opposing you because the title says they are God Awful at making games. They aren't. Ultimate Ninja 1 through Storm 2 are proof enough for that. They also created a fighting game that isn't a ripe off of Street Fighter, Virtual Fighter or Tekken. They aren't bad at making games, they just make bad business decisions.

I wouldn't say they're 'god awful at making games' since they did make some decent ones on PS2 back in the day.

It's just that lately, they've become quite lazy and unresponsive to their customers. Think back to Ultimate Ninja 3 or Ultimate Ninja 5, and how much content was packed into those games. Now look at recent Storm installments, with a lack of characters and no jutsu customization. Over the last couple of years, it seems they haven't been putting the same amount of quality into their games as they used to. Perhaps that is due to working on numerous projects at once, or because it's not as easy to create games for Xbox360/PS3 as it was for PS2.

All I can hope is all the drama surrounding Storm 3 has given them the incentive to work harder on their next games. It's clear that fans don't want crappy or overpriced costume DLC, and we don't want a lack of combos/stages/characters.
If CC2 fails to realize the concerns of their audience, then I'm sure they're going to realize a sharp drop in sales for their next projects.

Yeah, I agree. Most companies become obsessed over money now adays.

It's funny, if these companies actually thought (Capcom, Cyber Connect, Bioware...) and just put some form of effort into the DLC and actually gave us what we want instead of shit like this Kage pack (I'd pay top dolla for a pack like my sig.) they would have more people inclined to buy their shitty DLC.

It would be a win situation for them.

The video game industry isn't always about what you [ the fans] want, it is about what they want to make/ have time to make as well. Life isn't about Me , Me, Me ; I mean unless you can make a game your self , deal with multiple game projects and still worry about whiny ass fans.

Never said I didn't like the thread. I just didn't agree with what OP was talking about. He's complaining about nothing. They aren't stealing your money - you're purchasing content if that is what you want to purchase. Just because it's on a game store, doesn't mean you have to purchase it. God forbid you don't get what YOU want.

The kages were never advertised as being playable - they were shown to be in the game. They aren't even that special anyway. Mizukage is Deidara, Kazekage is Gaara, Tsuchikage is Onoki and the Raikage is A.

Storm 3 is by no means a bad game. Sure it's lazy, but not bad. If you think it's a bad game, maybe you should play Superman 64; Mindjack; Naughty Bear; or 98% of movie based games.
